Our offense is ok against lesser opponents. The little flare pass to 4.9 running Hurd is laughable. Dobbs consistently gives the ball to the rb when he should keep. Not much of a read option when you don't read the DE. We just need to face it. Tennessee is about right where it belongs...second or third in the east consistently. We are lucky not to have 4 to 5 losses at this point. Butch is a good guy but a championship caliber coach he isn't.

How do you know they did hold him back? How do you know Dobbs didn't just make some bad reads and etc.? Today was the first time I've seen him look like he was playing scared.

Not sure what happened but he had some terrible reads throwing and passing.

The sad part is he looked like the FR and Hurts looked like the SR.

The season ISN'T over yet. There's still more football to be played. You have to stop overlooking the positives and lay off the negatives every once in a while cause if you do that, you're going to be living a miserable life. Like I said, go on and start making jokes about me and this thread but it's not going to change the fact that our fanbase is really embarrassing right now. I really thought we was better than this but I guess I was wrong. I understand being frustrated. Hell I even get frustrated with this team at times but there's no reason why we should be making fun of our players and hoping that they fail the rest of the season all because we were outmatched against a possible National Championship squad. There's not much Butch could have done today. I'm sorry but it is what it is. Flame away guys.

Todays game was Dooleyesque. Thats is not a good thing. u can spin this anyway u like- but it was BAD.

1st down clog the middle
2nd down clog the middle and left side
3rd down stop a pass close to the first down marker.


I am now a brilliant DC and just shut down TN.

Im no troll i love vols but game plan was pure crap on offense. There is no excuse in year 4 to get blown out by 40 points. Come on man.

HOnestly this is the best roster Butch will EVER have here and the best he and his staff can do is hope that UF loses at least 1 more and we win out to win the East. Next year will be a step back with major loses on both sides of the ball and only 3-low 4* replacements and after that we will be licky to be the 3rd best team in the East which will make us like the 9th in the SEC.

This staff needs to start recruiting TOP talent because we are out of legacies and even those aren't buying in any more. Because to be elite again we need to be able to at least win the East every other year at the least. To do that he will need the best of the best talent wise and right now he's not getting that while UF UGA Bama LSU Tam are loading up with 4-5* talent. How do you all think that will pan out with how he coaches on game day and the people he's shown to hire? We are only winning this year because we are more talented. We wont be next year or any year after unless he can bring in some top recruits instead of the 20th or worst at each position.

Exactly!! I'd give 1k to any TN fan who thought Tatum was going to play today. I follow quite closely and had to look at the roster to find out who #68 is. He'll be good, just needs time to develop.

Butch has taken 4+ years to turn us from a poor team to an average team. We saw today how much further we have to go to become a good team. The question is can Butch and the current coaching staff get the job done? I have my doubts.

Yes and no. Nobody is making you read the threads. Miserable life? No, it is just football afterall. We do love it and what you are reading is passion. I think Butch has been good for the Vols. Will he return us to prominence? Pretty sure im right about this but no. He has some great coaching qualities but he lacks in some areas too. Playcalling is absolutely awful. Debord is either on or off. Discipline is key for a football team and they are not a very discliplined group. Good talent but they are not good at all positions. The oline has been a struggle for years. Time to make some changes there for sure. Last year, we were great 1st half and terrible in the 2nd half. This year is the opposite. We should have lost to GA and we could have easily lost to App St. i'm worried. I had more optimism last week because we have played competitively. 49-10...that is an a$$ whoopin! Why are we losing so many players? Is this a S&C issue??

Sometimes people fall down.other times they beat Florida and Georgia.things happen.Alabama is just a better team today.we have injuries.we have bad officiating.get over it and support the Big Orange!!!
