Tennessee coaches are back on the road with the NCAA contact period back open, and they wasted no time in checking on a top 2025 target. On Monday, defensive analyst Levorn ‘Chop’ Harbin was at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois to check on prized defensive lineman Nathaniel Marshall. Marshall, told Volquest that Harbin was by the school to watch him play a basketball game against Hinsdale Central.
Tennessee offered Marshall last March, and he says the Vols are one of the schools that show him a lot of attention, led by Harbin’s efforts. Harbin has been a vital part of Tennessee’s success in a large number of high-profile recruitments during his time on Rocky Top, including the likes of James Pearce Jr. and most recently Jordan Ross. Marshall hopes to visit Tennessee at some point in the near future, but there are no plans set yet for a visit.

Garner's stops in Illinois also included Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Ill., where he met with four-star Class of 2025 defensive lineman Nathaniel Marshall, a top-100 prospect, following his commitment to Michigan on Monday. Tennessee extended an offer to Marshall in March 2023 and has been involved with him for months, and the Vols were hoping to get him on campus before he committed to the Wolverines.
