Ignorant football fans need to give kiffin time

This thread is only for all the ignorant football fans who are calling for kiffins head and blaming him for everything. what SOME fans need to realize is that when you have a Qb as bad as crompton is it affects every aspect of the game. We can't run because the defense doesn't respect the pass so they stack the box. Your receivers get discouraged because the qb can't see that their open. your defense gets tired because the offense keeps going three and out or after an interception or fumble that crompton loves to do. You give the other team great field position so the d is on their heels before they even hit the field. Kiffins limited in what play's he calls. the list goes on. stephens isn't the answer either for the fans that think kiffin is just being stubborn. we have the #5 recruting class as of right now. Give kiffin a chance. He is handcuffed because fulmer left us these Qb's. stop calling for his head, stop being ignorant, It's not kiffins fault.

#4 right now in recruiting rankings for 2010. That's how Saban turned things around at Bama. Not comparing the 2 just saying.

Your always going to run into morons on this board.. Around football season they are everywhere.. I don't think many pay attention to them..

Everyone with general knowledge of football knows what is happening..

Good stuff. They should have made this years slogan "Its gonna take time" instead of "It's time" Kinda misleading... just saying

What? I shouldnt be mad that he hasnt fixed some serious problems in 5 games that built up over the last decade? I shouldnt blame an entire inept offense on one player? Bah......screw logic and common sense!

If it turns around anything close to what Saban is rolling down in Bammer country then I for one will be ready to name a street after Lane kiffin which obviously will be called Kiffin Lane

You know all your facts may be correct, but hes the one who decides when its time to change players. Do you really believe NS doesn't deserve a shot at this point? The first half was absolutely the worst QB play I have ever seen at TN> And I have seen some bad ones. If NS doesn't at least deserve a shot at this time then he must not be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Finally someone who see's what is going on. They need to give CLK alteast three to four years to recruit and if we are not in the hunt then I say it's time to call for his head but not until then. He wasn't left with the talent that we had ten years ago so he is having to deal with what cards he was dealt.

Oh and by the way Football is still blocking, and tackling, and puting your best players on the field.

What if NS comes in and throws 3 picks. Then what do you do? ITS NOT JUST CROMPTON. Take a look at our WR's, How many dropped balls did you see last night?

I understand what you are saying, but it was time for a change and I think that you can see the change already. The attitude of the team just seems different and that is where it had to start.

Granted the raw material is much worse than I had thought as I was under the impression that Fulmer was a good recruiter, but now I know that I am wrong about that one. I would say that you can't judge the current staff for another 2-3 years.

Last night a CPF coached team would have put on a re-run of the 2004 game.
I love the heart in these kids, they play with everything they have. They may not be the greatest, but they give their all, and thats all we as fans can ask.
There will be better days ahead. I love the direction this program is headed.

Thats a fair question.What if he throws 3 TD? Thats the thing. Hell you can't loose a ballgame but one time. If it isn't working, you must try something. jmho

Agree 100%. The situation that Kiffin inherited reminds me of when John Majors took over for Bill Battle. Fans still believed that the program was competitive but actually the talent was not there. Majors, though had an excellant recruiting class his first year, took nine long years before winning a conference title.Even Fulmer, who inherieted a wealth of talent took five years to win a title.

On the plus side, every coach since Boyden Wyatt became head coach in 1955 has won a SEC title except Battle (the one year Jim McDonald was coach doesn't count as he was interim for an ailing Wyatt).

Just remember, things were only going to get worse under the former coach. So lets be patient.

If Fulmer were still coaching for us we probably only have one win and have lost to gay-tors by another 35 points.

I think that is a well thought out post, and I do agree thats its going to take some time. The only issue I have is the unwillingness to sub the QB and see what happens. You're not going to crust JC by giving someone a simple chance. If he can't do It then change back. We really need to try something, even if its wrong. Can't lose a game but once. jmho

I agree the defense must have some help. can't play the entire game on their heals and be real effective.

Stephens is riding the pine this year unless Crompton gets hurt. Get use to it. Nothing is going to change. Stephens is NOT the answer, sorry, but keep asking for him to play.....ain't happening dude.
