I have a feeling Bray and Patterson and Hunter will both likely be gone. With Worley throwing to Jacob Carter and Drae Bowles next year with the same running game, I don't see next year being much better for Dooley.

I see next year being better. Croom, Pig, good defensive players with a year of preparation under them and also having bray and hunters girly attitude gone, which I dOnt see them being drafted if they continue to play this way, we'll have better leadership.

Yet, we return every defensive starter outside of Waggner (assuming Lathers gets a medical RS), we return every OL except Thomas, and Bray and Patterson are not polished enough to go pro yet (assumin they want to go in the 1st round).

This year will not be bad, but I think we will be better next year.

All of this going pro early talk is silly. Other than Hunter, no underclassmen would be drafted in the first 2 rounds in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Not necessarily. They need to have good seasons against good teams to be drafted high. Saturday was not a good start.

Defense should be better, the offense may not have as many big plays, but will probably be just as productive.

News flash, the "big three" have not proven they can play against a good SEC defense and they have some skills, but they are not ready for prime time! :nono:

Nobody's going anywhere except maybe Tennessee Tech. I like Hunter, but he has got to do a better job if he wants a big check. Still the injury will be on NFL managers minds.

Did you have a feeling UT would win or lose against UF Saturday? If you had a feeling UT would lose, tell us what your feelings are on the rest of the season. Predict the short term before pining about the long term.

I think regardless of whether Bray goes pro or not the offense will be alot different next year. Even if Bray comes back next year someone else will get 20-30% of the snaps whether it be Peterman, Pig or someone else running the wildcat. Dooley has got to see he needs options for when Bray goes into his shell. David Pollack was right when he said before the game it doesn't take much of anything to rattle Bray just a little pressure that's all you don't even have to hit him. Bray still hasn't put in the time to learn the game and regardless of how great his arm is I would rather have a smart mobile QB anyday. Bray will light up every has been team on earth but will never beat a good defense until he decides he wants to be a real QB.

If you look over the last several years of the NFL draft then I think without a doubt Bray would be selected in the first round of the draft. I am not saying he is ready, I just think he would be a high first round pick.

I believe the majority of VN expected to win. Just look at the anger and frustrartion following the loss. I am wondering when this team will tire of getting their ass handed to them. Face palm.

I really like the idea of an older Worley or an athletic Peterman under center throwing to Croom, Bowles, Pig, etc and handing it off to more experienced running backs and maybe a young buck RB that's a bruiser. The OL is only getting better and the defense will also only get better. If the big three all go pro, we will be fine, and guess what happens with recruiting when underclassmen go pro? It picks up even more b/c those top shelf recruits see a program that can get them to the League.

I think the only way everyone goes pro early is if Dooley is fired at the end of this year.

Doesnt that depend on who replaces him? If he is fired and the proverbial "home run" is hit, I doubt you would see an exodus. If he is fired, and someone less proven is hired, I could see people wanting to get out of dodge.
