Just wait until we lose to Kentucky and finish 4-8.

I'm trying hard to keep the faith, I really am.

PS - the stadium looked great today and I made it back to South Carolina safely. I'm going to bed now. We still suck. #Peyton4OC. Go Vols. Goodnight.

You are predicting a loss to Kentucky while trying to keep your Vol faith? GTFO

The sad thing is that he's right. We're going to lose to Kentucky if we don't step it up on the offense. Hard to think about but it's probably going to happen.

Holy crap ppl... We can beat anyone...including bammer and ole miss...our young guys tasted the pressure of expectations. They will do better now that the pressure is off them to win a win able game. Worst thing to happen to us is that we started getting picked to win

Can't say this isn't true either!

Ouch. Being a long time lurker here before finally making an account I know the routine around here.

Certain fans come on here after a disappointing loss and vent while pointed out what they thought was bad.

The other kind of fans take out their frustration on the ones complaining because they seem to believe anything negative pointed out is "not being a true fan".

Same as it's been for years. No end in sight.
You've got a good read on things. I think the level of antagonism against criticism is a relatively new phenomenon. I think it's a symptom of the generation that's come of age during the current presidency. They voted for the worst president in our history, some.twice, but don't want to accept that this has affected their economic opportunity.

Interesting theory. Its funny you bring that up because in another thread I compared someone putting sole blame of the performance yesterday on the previous coach to those who still blame Bush for the economy.

In my experience, most people who voted for king Barry are the type who simply refuse to listen to reason. Undeniable facts that challenge their worldview are simply ignored. If they cant twist those facts into pretzels to fit with what they want to believe, then they refuse to even acknowledge them. I have learned there is usually no hope of ever reaching them. Just might explain a few things.

Has it occurred to anyone that USC is not good? UT beat a good USC team last season. Chill.

We Choked, pure and simple.

Freshman made mistakes, Coleman Thomas and Malone were the biggest culprits.

Worley tried too hard to fit the ball in tight spaces, the end zone pick was a good idea of throwing it up to our tall/bigger receiver but it has to actually get there in the air above everyone and you can't throw off your back foot.

Playcalling was bad, but I believe he was a little handcuffed bc of how bad our OL was protecting Worley.

With that said, so Damn what, I am STILL and WILL ALWAYS BE a VOLS Fan. Yea it's frustrating but I see that our Defense is amazing and for y'all talking about Kentucky beating us is ridiculous. SC has NO DEF and neither does UK. This is the strangest year I've seen in a long time in the SEC and we could easily win out as we could lose out. Most all predicted a 6~6 season...we can still achieve that. Those that were thinking 8~9 wins were just setting yourself up for failure. STAY THE COURSE and we will make a bowl game.

We have a top 5 recruiting class that has some much needed depth in places we are thin and major talent on the DL. Stay strong VolNation and we will be back on top. This season will be trying but don't ever Quit on the VOLS.

If we finish 4-8 it will be the result of a complete meltdown.

This team still has a good shot of making a bowl

We had one bad game. This is the same offense that put 32 against Georgia on the road. Here's another thing, we will probably have at least another game like this before the season is over. Everybody just needs to step back off the ledge and breathe.

Kentucky just beat South Carolina. They also put a hell of a lot more points on Florida than we even looked capable of. It's hard to accept, but get over it. Kentucky will be a battle.

South Carolina beat Georgia and people keep saying they suck. Did we not lose to Georgia? We play UGA close almost every year. Even the years we suck. USCe is kind of the same so we have a shot, but quit acting like we should most definitely win that one.

We had a good OL last year and this offense still was hard to watch. People can flame away all they want. With the talent and athletes we have out there, this offense is just stupid. We aren't taking advantage of a single thing we have. Before someone points out the OL once again I direct you to watch some of last years games. They are all so hard to watch even when we are "doing good". I watch other teams and even teams like Kentucky just seem to flow and here we are running this crap. We are the only team I watch where the play calls look so bad I'm wondering how much of America is scratching their heads at it.

I go to other message boards and thousands of other fans saying the same thing. CBJ can recruit, but these play calls from his OC suck. It's a universal point and it couldn't be more true.
