My dad had triple bypass at Vandy 3 years ago. Did fine at 75 years old.
Sadly, we found out last Sunday he has rare leukemia and I'm currently with him at his house and hospice. At 78 now, he's been a Vol fan all his life.
Prayers for your father.
He'll do well, even at VU! Seriously, I rarely ever agree with you, but it's only over a sport. Best wishes to you and all your family, and prayers are out to our Lord for His almighty love and protection for your father,Wylo.
I'm on it, Wylo. My dad went through that in 92. Be prepared; first time when you see him in the open heart post op CCU, he is going to look rough. He will probably be pale and sweaty and look like he is knocking on heavens door. It will tear you up, and there is no way around it. A nurse gave me this heads up, and knowing ahead of time helped me, so I am just passing it on to you here. Before you all go in there, prepare your family.
Oh, so you know, Dad is still going here. And even though Vandy is not a football dynasty, they got a good game plan on bypass surgery. Good bless you and yours.
