If you owned a business....

I would be going to practice everyday if I was hart. I would want to see how Dooley is doing. I would try to find out who might be interested, and who I would want. I believe in finishing the season before announcing Dooley's firing. Unless the next guys contract is already signed. I wouldnt give him another year.

I think he got handed a mess only second to Penn St as far as roster and needs. And I would feel it would take 3-5 years to get it turned. But I know the fans and boosters can't wait that long. Bad thing about sports is we see instantly what is going on so we can't wait. Unless you're Bud Adams.

No offense, but that's beyond stupid.

And Dooley was your GM in charge of it, based on his current time here and results, how would you evaluate him, and would you still employ him after numerous let downs and terrible showings on the field??

Essentially UT Football is a business, and you should judge performances based on how that business is performing.

Just be honest with your evaluations, and try not to let your emotions take control either.

This is not a regular business Only fast food has 98% of the employees under 22 years of age and the skill set required for employment is minimal

In this scenario, you would have to get rid if the hamburgers, buns, fries, and sodas as well. It doesn't work to compare college football to a business model

It's why i couldn't really answer the question. Just doesn't compare in anyway to what i do and how i run my business...

The second half performance was not acceptable. The real question is, can the coaching staff make adjustments that are needed to win games? Based on last season and the second half of the Florida game the question looks like no it can't. I hope they shut me up and close hard in the second half and win games like Georgia, USC and Miss State, Missouri. Those are the games we must win our share of and against decent to good SEC teams we are not competing well under CDD. Yea we all know about injuries, players getting kicked off and so on and so forth. But, at the end of the day has CDD won enough games by the end of the 2012 season we shall see. I doubt UT has the money to buy out 5 million of his contract and must rely on wealthy influential people to help. I really hope it doesn't come to that seriously, there is a lot I like about CDD, but the on field performance isn't where it should be. Now there are 9 games left can he win 6 of those and save himself?

CFB isnt a kiosk at the mall. It's highly regulated which causes delay and doesnt allow for buisness fundametals to be used. It's not easy to just hire and fire your employees if they aren't doing things the way you want. This is why many of us look at the small things that are improvements. Especially difficult in a league like the SEC. Many still don't want to accept how bad it was when cdd got here. For goodness sake the NCAA was on campus, and the AD was gone after his first yr. Yet he was still able to pull a talented group of players.

If you know anything about business then you know it takes money to make money, thus I would fire him as soon as I had my plan in place and open the check book to get my business back on track.

Random question. How do you think Mark Cuban would handle Dooley?
He would serve CDD a DQ Blizzard ! :birgits_giggle:
