And Dooley was your GM in charge of it, based on his current time here and results, how would you evaluate him, and would you still employ him after numerous let downs and terrible showings on the field??

Essentially UT Football is a business, and you should judge performances based on how that business is performing.

Just be honest with your evaluations, and try not to let your emotions take control either.

It's all going to work itself out over the next month Eric. We'll know by Carolina if he's going to be here or not....

I understand that, I'm just wanting people to look at it like that. Your a business owner, so how would you evaluate him??

I think he got handed a mess only second to Penn St as far as roster and needs. And I would feel it would take 3-5 years to get it turned. But I know the fans and boosters can't wait that long. Bad thing about sports is we see instantly what is going on so we can't wait. Unless you're Bud Adams.

Football's success is based off wins and losses. If we compare that to a real business, said business would not be showing a profit loss. This business needs a new business plan. I would recommend a leadership change.

If you know anything about business then you know it takes money to make money, thus I would fire him as soon as I had my plan in place and open the check book to get my business back on track.

Random question. How do you think Mark Cuban would handle Dooley?

Terrible short term performance, but in the business world a million different variables can affect short term performance. Sometimes the long term payoff is worth the dip. Not sure this applies to Dooley and Co.

I would have never hired a guy that was unqualified for the job in the first place, so i can't answer your question.....

So your business plan would have consisted of going coachless seeing as though we had 3 weeks to bring one in willing to come here?

Guessing you dont own a business.

I would have outlined the number of years he has to turn it around and what the expectations are in a contract

What kind of business? retail? manufacturing? How many employees? Job description? Your question is like comparing apples to oranges...

Kippy could have handled one year and we could have made a MUCH better hire the next year and been in a lot better shape than we are now.

It seemed to me that Neyland was packed on Saturday, wouldn't that mean business is good? We'll see how the next big home game looks.
