That is where I'm at.... I think if we had this version of Heupel when we hired Butch, he would have a lot of 3-4 year guys at QB that he gets to spend multiple seasons with developing. Now the game at QB is basically free agency in the portal. I think Heupel has gone 3-3 with QB's he has started that didn't start their college careers here. I'd go 4-4 overall with Nico because in a little over a year's time of experience, he went 11-3.As the kickoff approached, I heard someone on the radio say they don't trust our QB, yet. But they do trust CJH. I think that is a good point. I think most of us missed the forest for the trees for this season. Hype is accountable for the whole team. His emphasis is QB and offense. In that focus, he has a stellar track record even with other program's 'cast offs'.
CJH's track record is in solid support of your claim about Hooker/Aguilar.That is where I'm at.... Aguilar will be like Hooker in where we as fans will wish Heupel had 2-3 years with in a stable program. Yes, he had Hooker for 2 seasons, but was drinking water from a fire hose coming into first year trying to get the program back to bowl eligibility.
