Phillipines was great back in the 80's. Not so safe today. the women were as formidable as the scenery.
Disagree. Philippines is plenty safe as long as you're not an idiot. Obviously don't go to places like Mindanao that are controlled by Abu Sayyaf. Cebu and Palawan Island are absolute heaven and plenty safe.

There's a river in Wyoming that a man can wade from late July through September. If he hikes 3 miles in, he won't see another person on the river. Biggest, dumbest cutthroats I've ever encountered or heard of. Going back this August.

Ireland/Scotland
Sweden/Norway
Australia/New Zealand
Switzerland/Austria
Japan
Banff/Jasper

Plus there is just a bunch of stuff domestically I haven't visited that I would like to, or would like to visit again.

- Argentina (Mendoza/Patagonia in particular...good wine and trout fishing)
- Bavaria (Good food/beer, plus some history)
- Finland
- Estonia
- Normandy (for the WWII history, and calvados)
- Northwestern Spain
- Cusco, Peru (archeological sites/history)

I'd like to one day return to Colombia, but things are dicey there outside of the super-touristy places. The backcountry/rural areas were awesome when I visited. I really hope they manage to un-**** the government there but I'm not holding my breath.

I have not. St. Petersburg is a place that has some great architecture and history...same goes for Alt-Königsberg. I wouldn't mind visiting, but not in the current political climate there.

We weer in St. Petersburg about 20-25 years ago. Went to the Hermitage(Art) and Catherines Palace. Couple of other places. Great place to visit(then). Not now.
