If you could pick just one team to beat in football this year...

I can't believe that nobody's said it yet, but the thought of losing to South Cack-a-lacky and the Head Cock makes we want to jump off the upper deck of Neyland. Vandy is right there, too.

Don't get me wrong, and I'm with Vercing... on the Alabama and the "decade of futility" issue. And, I HATE FLORIDA. But, the loss to the Dorks in '05 and Spurrier in general make me physically ill.

How 'bout this? Let's just win 'em all.

No question. Alabama.

This question is largely a how-old-are-you? referendum. Most of you young'uns don't remember Alabama being anything other than a toothless old has-been program, so the bulk of your ire is directed towards Florida. Believe me, I understand that. But for those of us who lived through the Two Unspeakable Streaks Of Futility, not much tastes sweeter in the fall than that dram of whiskey after beating the Tide.

I still remember having the bumper sticker that read "Avoid the Rush, Hate Bama NOW!!!"

Remember boys and girls, the UT-Bama rivalry is the only one in college football that has ever had a book written about it! "The Thrid Saturday in October"

Bama, I live in this state, and I have to hear how Saban is leading them to a N.C. in the next 2 years. It's sickening

Wouldn't have said if I didn't mean it

Okay then, please explain how you think that Fulmer worrying about Alabama has any effect on preparations for the Florida game. The two games are always more than a month apart. What do you think he's doing, watching tapes of last year's Bama game during Florida week?

I take it as a compliment that for you fans UT winning the Florida game is on a par with, or has even surpassed, winning the Alabama game.

There's a whole generation of UT fans who think that Alabama is just some toothless punching bag from the SEC West, whereas we've been the ugly bridesmaid in the East to you guys for most of their lives. No wonder they care more about that game.

(It's a shame that the SEC and the two schools have never figured out a way to recognize the importance of that game by moving it later in the year. It's just stupid to have that game be the perennial SEC opener for both teams.)

actually...yes

If you really believe that we've been losing to Florida all these years because Phil Fulmer is standing there over on the sideline during the game thinking about Alabama...well, then that's your prerogative. The world is also 6,000 years old, Saddam was hiding the WMDs in his colon the whole time, and Osama bin Laden is helping OJ look for the real killers. People can believe anything, I guess.

I don't discriminate..... on gameday I hate every opponent with equal passion and want to pulverise each one.... however if the answer has to be narrowed down to 1 team.... then it always has been and always will be BAMA.
