I was wondering what everyone's choice if you could franchise a SINGLE player for that 1 game a year who would it be. Say for instance to play Florida every year you have Al Wilson or Travis Stephens, Eric Berry or Casey Clausen Jeff Hall being clutch or another. We know about Al forcing the fumbles Trav shredding the Gators d. Eric running pick sixes and smashing ball carriers against Florida. Casey owning the swamp, and yes I know he had a bad 2002 game in Neyland. But I've always thought it had more to do with the bad weather than it being a home game. (Poor guy couldn't field a snap) Personally im not taking Peyton as we know how he fared. My choice is to think outside the box and select Shawn Bryson. We know what a good blocking back can do to help our QB which Florida always brings a good pass rush no matter which year. We also know what a good blocking back can do to spring a hole to get a tailback into the second level. I don't have to tell any of you who have followed this series of Tennessee vs Florida how often the team that rushes for the most wins. Which brings me to the running skills of Bryson. Shawn had that iconic run for a TD against Florida in 98. We also know he was reliable pass catcher. So now I've started it I'm curious who all you guys select. I know it's hypothetical but fun barber shop type talk ala who would win Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali Or Mike Tyson if all in their primes. Go Vols pick your lifetime Vols player to inflict pain on Florida forever more. Have fun.

Reggie White

Boom I can imagine him throwing Rex Grossman to the ground. Slamming Chris leak, Tebow, Wuerffel, Treon Harris and omg Austin Appleby might decide to give up football forever if the Minister got ahold of him. I like it.

Jason Witten/Joey Kent if I have to franchise a Vol player. We need people who can actually catch the ball and make plays.

Just to throw in a wrinkle, if I could pick one player to "franchise" from across the NCAA for this game, it would probably be Cam Newton. The way the game is played now requires a pretty mobile QB that can throw. Cam is a stud. Just imagining him in this system is making me drool. He has the running talent of Dobbs with the passing accuracy, arm strength, and toughness of a Big Ben. We would run over the Gators with him at QB.

Only problem is Auburn would probably say we are franchising Cam. If bet their fan base would be split if they could only pick one between him and Bo Jackson.

Al Wilson alongside JRM would be an amazing combo.

We could use Chad Clifton on that O line.

Dale Carter in the place of an injured Cam Sutton.

Not sure which of those 3, but any of those 3 would be amazing.

For this team, this week? Center Bob Johnson, All-American '67 & '68. Highest drafted center in the modern era of pro football (#2 overall), whose jersey is is still (I believe) the only one ever retired by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Oh. He and Dobbs would enjoy their conversations. Johnson was an Academic All-American and vice-president of his class, while earning a degree in Industrial Engineering.

A fine couple of boffins that would be!

Do they have to be a former Vol??

I would like to have Michael Vick in this offense (from college).

Carl Pickens

Go four wide: Carl Pickens, Josh Malone, Jujuan Jennings, Tyler Byrd. See how they handle that....

He was short but the penetration..... Let that sink in lol.
That guy would live in the backfield. Spurrier, Meyer, Zook, Muschamp and McElwain would dread game planning with Jesse on the field.
