Remove the black trim on the orange numbers of the away white jerseys. Never change the two orange/white stripes on pants. Vary white and orange pants on the road.

As an observation, the best the Vols have looked in recent memory - sartorially speaking - was at Kentucky in 2009. I think it was the orange socks with the otherwise all-white uniforms, the annoying black trim on the the numbers notwithstanding.

No. Under Armour is lame. I don't even get it. "Under" Armour??? I might sound like Seinfeld or Larry David, but I really don't get it. Under what? The jersey is the last layer of clothing. So technically, the armor isn't under anything...

And who want to follow a trend set by Auburn or South Carolina.

Just go with the 90's look. Big #s, solid white home pants w/ no stripes, solid orange pants w/ no stripes, black shoes all the time, and the old 'VOLS' with a star in the O on the sleeves. Give Addidas 1 year to get their act together or go w/ Nike. JMHO>

I mean they don't ever seem to fit right and the colors don't seem to match. The numbers on the some of the players look like they're stretched to the point where they a wrinkling up, if that makes sense. They just don't look that great in comparison to other programs with Addidas mainly Michigan. All I'm saying is that the Nike and UA unis look like they fit way better than Addidas. I would love to hear the players opinion on this never ending debate. I mean if they're happy and can perform well in them then that is all that matters.

I don't think anyone's got a problem with the fit.

And yes, actually, the colors do match on the parts made by adidas- it's the helmet logos and stripes, which adidas does not make, that don't match. Besides, as someone said earlier, our contract with adidas is worth more than every Nike school's but one, so there is zero reason to change.

Never understood that either as Oregon has similar jerseys and yet they aren't catching flack over them...I almost said AFLACK!...But caught myself...Hehe!!:birgits_giggle:

I don't hate Addidas and if the players and coaches are happy then thats all that matters. It just looks like the Nike and UA football unis look like they fit better. I have many fans of other teams ask me whats up UT's jerseys in reference to how they fit. Maybe its how they are being ordered by the program or something else. Hell maybe its just me. I did not know that about the contract and I can truly believe that about the helmets colors. Like I said though, in my opinion from just another fan's point of view, the fit just doesn't seem right, but thats just me. I like the TECHFIT jerseys better than the standard ones though.

keep helmets and jerseys just the way they are now, but lose the stripes on the pants and go to something that looks like the pants we wore in the late 90s with the power T on the hip.

maybe throw in black pants with the black jerseys for the halloween SC game sometimes.

Instead of stripes they could put a checkerboard strip up the leg of the pants. It would be neat on white or orange pants.

Take all of the black off the uniforms and take the names off the back of the jerseys. Football is a team sport.

I think for a home uni it would be cool if we did a orange jersey and gray pants with an orange strip. I also like the idea of flat white helmets.

To be completely honest, I don't know how good an orange helmet would look- I've got two potential issues:
1. Is Tennessee orange really going to translate to helmet paint?
2. Would that be a little too much with orange uniforms, or would it go with the away sets?

I haven't really liked many of the orange helmets I've seen, notably Virginia Tech's Orange Bowl disasters.

Would have to see it. I think our helmets look good as is, but that might could work.

We got Hamilton from Clemson. We don't need their friggin' helmets either.
