If you could change the uniforms

Agreed. I really like the new direction and wouldn't change much at all.

Two things I would add:

1. All white road jerseys (with orange stripe on the pants) for at least one game every two years. I like white on orange better, but white on white is too sharp to discard entirely.

2. Black jerseys exclusively for Halloween night home games. Figure this should happen about once a decade or so, which is the appropriate amount to use these jerseys.

I agree with this. Also, the color needs to be the same.

The flat white helmet would be cool.

The only thing I like about Nike's pro-combat sets are the matte helmets.

And hopefully that will carry over on to the field paint. I nearly got nauseous when I saw the bright neon orange power T in the middle of the field last year for the ole miss and kentucky games and the neon orange spots in the end zone for patch work jobs

The paint didn't change at all last year. There was no "neon orange" it was the same brand and color that has been used for years.

The paint kills the grass under it. What you saw were areas where the grass was mostly dead, when painted they show up a little different than the grass painted over. But there was no "patchwork," all areas are freshly painted each week with the same paint that has been used for years.

Does the grass usually die like that toward the end of the year? I know the end of the year we're approaching winter and what not, but it seems like the field was in better shape toward the end in 09.

To change it up a little bit Oregon-style, I'd like to see the orange and white checkerboard design run down the side of the jersey, similiar to the orange strip we had a few years back on the road jerseys..

2015 is the next time.

It's probably just me, but I like the all white away jerseys as opposed to the white jerseys with the not quite tennessee colored pants. Just my opinion though.

The four straight home games to start the season, especially the heavy rain for the Oregin game tore the field up pretty badly and it just didn't recover after that. They typically overseed the Bermuda grass with rye toward the end of the season, and they did, but the weather and the game schedule didn't allow it to take hold the way it normally does.

I think they should hire Tommy Hilfiger to be defensive coordinator.

This is my vision....The gun metal black helmet (that one that doesn't reflect light.), regular orange Tennessee jersey, and black pants (that match the helmet) with a relatively skinny checkerboard stripe down each pant leg.
