If you could change any rule...

Eliminate automatic 1st downs on all penalties except personal fouls, if the yardage gets you a first down then good if not too bad. Say on 2nd down a lineman holds, the offense gets to replay 2nd but from -10 yards. Now on the next play the defense has an illegal contact penalty, the ball moves forward 5 yds but its now first down, never seemed right to me.

If I could change one thing, I would ask God to allow all men to be correct 5% of the time vs our wives and girlfriends. I know it is a lot ot ask, so thank you in advance

You're welcome. By the way, you have to split that 5% between your wife and your girlfriend. :peace2:

GO VOLS!

Technically, we all know that men are correct far more frequently than that. Getting the ladies to admit it may be beyond even the power of Almighty God.

The ball should be placed at the same spot if it's a kickoff or punt after it is downed in the end zone by the receiving team or sails through the end zone.

That already depends on the penalty. If it's 2nd and 20 (after a hold on 1st down and an incomplete pass on the replayed down) and there's an offsides penalty, it is now 2nd and 15, not an automatic first down.

I agree with the poster who said every play including penalties should be reviewable, It never made sense to me why when you can see clearly on a replay that the wrong call was made they just say "That call can't be reviewed" and people saying that would make games last 10 hours are being dramatic, just keep it at 2 coaches challenges, and if they want to waste one on a missed false start then so be it.

Another rule that always bugs me is protecting the quarterback or defenseless receivers, How about we just send a promo out to all offensive players and say defend yourself if you are between the lines, If your a QB dont hold onto the ball to long and don't lead your receiver into someone trying to take his head off

I wish we could go back to the old rules on Pass interference. Was a thing of beauty to watch the older DB's play bump and run coverage.

I hate the celebration penalty. I love high stepping in the end zone, smack talking, etc.

If you don't like it, knock their azz in the dirt. A 15 yard penalty is ridiculous IMO.

All defensive penalties but off sides result in a first down.
