These post are becoming very annoying. If Bama would have fired Saban after his terrible first year or if USC would have fired Carroll after his bad first year, they would be stupid. Anyone calling for Lane's head is, stupid

Sometimes it is better to remain quiet then to open your mouth and remove all doubt
And just who died and made you as the Commissioner of the TRUTH Police? Just because someone has an opinion you disagree with, you get to decide when they can speak, and hurl personal insults from behind your keyboard?

Sure are a lot of tough talkers on this board. I guess it's easy to be brave, hiding behind that monitor....insulting folks that might pound you a new mudhole if you dared to do so in person.

Good for you. Kiffin is being paid a lot of money to perform, and we are sending a clear message to win or we will not sit and watch this train wreck of a team. I have never seen a more inept offense at the D-I level. If you thought it was bad on TV then you should have seen it in person. We are Tennessee. We do not tolerate losing. I know the last few years have been rough, but there was a time when the "T" on our helmets was worth at least two touchdowns. It is a sad day to see fans latching onto moral victories. Kiffin needs to be held to a higher standard than other coaches because of the ridiculous salary that he is receiving. I am not one of those people that believe Nick Stephens would do any better than the "InCrompitant" one, but hell try anything. We will get the same results either way. This season is already poisoned. The players are down on one another, and know that they will not win many games. Send a message fans. Do not pay the high price for tickets. Do not pay the high price for concessions. If you like the gameday feeling, go tailgate and go home before kickoff. I know that some of you will be pissed off after reading this, and say that I am not a fan, but most fans cannot watch their beloved Vols fall to the depths that they have fallen to. I hate getting riled up for a game, and then being let down time after time. This is a bad product, and I am not buying. Now the floor is open for discussion.

Dude you cant make an omlet with rotten eggs. Three years. How old are you anyway. Phillip Fulmer is the reason that we are where we are today. Look at the freshmen that are impacting the game. Look at the recruits that are commited to Tennessee for next year. If the staff had recruited all of the sophomores, juniors and seniors I could buy your jive. Three years.

I honestly can't believe I wasted my time opening up this thread. Fair weather fans calling for Kiffin's head already are starting to get on my nerves. We would be in the same position if not worse if Fulmer was still here. Fulmer had pretty much given up on recruiting and it is showing now. All I ask now that all the "fair weather" fans please leave and come back when you won't bash the team that you so call love.

Yes, the best way to show our support for our team and those players is to boycott games. That is the dumbest post I have seen on this board to date. Anybody with any brains knew this year was going to be rough. Look at the future and the recruiting coming in. And I will say that if you are already giving up on this team and this staff after 5 games of their first year, then you aren't a fan. You're just an idiot.

Phil basically burned our program to the ground and it will take time to resurrect. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I am not calling for Kiffin's head. All I am asking for is for the fans to show Kiffin what Tennessee football is about. Last nights game was like suffering through a root canal.

Blame it on Fulmer and blame on Hamilton for allowing him to stay so long. 38 th ranked class Fulmers last and Kiffins first 5 th ranked is what you judge it on.

In the past 3 yrs the Vols are ranked 7th out of 12 SEC teams in players selected in the draft. LSU leads the way with 18, FL is 2nd with 15, South Carolina is ahead of us with 11 and TN has had 9 players selected in the NFL draft the past 3 yrs ( only 3 the past 2 yrs ). So to anyone who thinks blaming it on anyone other then Fulmer, is the answer, learn your facts first.

It is no coincidence that the fans have felt like the likes of FL, LSU, Bama, AU, had widened the talent gap between us, while SC, Ark, KY and Vandy had narrowed the gap. Those thoughts from fans of feeling things slipping were well founded. The results have shown on the field and in the draft.

it would be funny if it wasnt so sad, the coach came out and stood up for the school and built us all up and made us all believe we were really something. And most of us allowed ourselves to believe that success would follow instantly, we are the foolish ones for letting ourselves get carried away, whats sad is that the few people that reallly get it are the 18 year old superstars that are staying committed and keep committing to play football at tennessee, maybe the "adults" could learn some lessons. so complain if you must but when the players are here and we are no longer satisfied with moral victories, dont brag to your friends that you had faith the whole time, save that for the young men that actually did, much respect for teague and brown and jackson, and the studs that sign on this year to wear the orange T

yes. we won out that year, and went 11-1 in '89. I know it can get better, but we are just not a good football team.

so looking at historical data and records, whats your problem with kiffin? it will get better. if a team goes 0-6, and improves the next year, why can't this coaching staff do it? just have some faith.

In 2000 Oklahoma won the NC with a #25 recruiting class in '98.

What I am trying to say is that, in my opinion, Kiffin is not a proven winner. As a head coach, he is a proven loser though.

I just wanted to get a healthy dialogue going. I enjoy getting folks ire. I know that this is a rebuilding year, and my standards are low. It is a rough time to be a Vol. Hopefully, success is close. Watching the team this year is like having a having a son that plays football, and who really isn't that good. You go to the games for support, but he is a benchwarmer. It is difficult to watch.

Fulmer wasn't a winning HC when he was hired either. And Crompton was the #2 QB coming out of High School. Recruits and Coaches will always be a gamble. You sometimes have to give them time to prove themselves. Obviosly Crompton has proven he was a bust. Now give Kiffin time.

I believe CLK understands all too clearly what he's dealing with on offense. I was there, as always, and watched veteran receivers running the wrong routes, dropping pass after pass, and all the while JC is getting booed by his own school's fans. Disgusting. This young man is not a great QB; he IS doing his best, and he's not getting any help. If NS were better, Coach would play him. And given that he's apparently not better, if Jones, etc. started catching his pitches, I would begin to be suspicious.

CLK is no dummy. Crompton is believed to be the best hope now. Until that changes, for goodness-sake, quit with the boos and support our team.

how can you consider being a coach at oakland a loser? i was an oakland fan, until davis had the rant on the projector about kiffin. don't hold that against him. he was in a terrible situation. look at his pedigree and references and what they say about him. london is about to open for biz, i have got some trading to do, so this is the last you'll hear of me for a while tonight. support him! he will take us to back to the promised land my friend. trust me, for what that's worth. i want what you want. but, it ain't gonna happen overnight, no matter how optimistic we are.

He currently owns a losing record at TN. 2-3
