If you are Barnes, what would you do...

Ah, gotcha, this has been a lot of fun for you no doubt. Of course, being a vol fan, I'm still disappointed over 2018 so there's a little bias in my view as well.😏 BTW, I'm old enough to remember the 1963 team and still think Loyola deserves a lot of credit for doing the right thing in such divisive times.
Yea I went to UT as well so definitely was bitter sweet. I just knew they were going to get matched up that year... such a shame.

YES - I've been trying to tell people this. Same hill I tried to die on with Shaka Smart. Everyone thought he was the white whale for a P5 when he was at VCU, but the guy caught lightning in a bottle for five games. Took over a very successful program, never won a regular season title once in six seasons.

They are mid-major jobs that everyone wins at, and VCU is one. Dayton and Murray State are a couple of others. They are basketball schools and spend to be on top of their conferences.

Post players that can actually play change everything. Opens up the three point shooters and we'll have a point guard that can make things happen. I would probably want to find a few guys on the current roster a new home. Definitely love to have Kessler and BHH better than anyone we have now. Guard rotation won't suffer much James, Chandler, Bailey, Vescovi, and Mashack. Free up some space inside and go portal for two or three guys to go with BHH. If Fulkerson comes back we only need another guy if BHH becomes a Vol.

Has there been any interest in Felix Okpara from the Chattanooga area?

Thanks. I guess I haven't seen much about him while seeing lots of recent mentions about Tamba, the center from Knoxville Catholic.

Tamba is a 2022 kid, too. Is he reclassifying?

It looks like a good year for Tennessee talent.

Besides recruiting. I think he needs to figure out a way for JJJ to be more impactful. That’s seems weird to say since he’s been the best player in a number of our games this year and one of the most important players on our team. But I think he has the potential to be more. And maybe it’s also by becoming a stronger leader on the team. Not sure he has the personality for that but I also feel like that’s a position which is lacking compared to some of our more successful teams in the past

It’s not easy to just plug someone into a new team, even talented players. Regardless of who we get through the portal, need to really help the key returning players improve and work on a scheme which suits their skill sets
