This, many robberies and crack heads/druggies in this area, be CAREFUL.

Actually it isn't near as bad as it once was downtown. There has been a large scale effort to "clean up" downtown Knoxville. Plus, the two fulltime security guards are a real plus.

My wife (then girlfriend) and I lived in the bottom floor of that same building. We both worked late and came back from games late and never had a problem. The partying can get a little loud, but it's not too bad. I think you'll really like the new digs.

BTW, thanks for posting, it brought back some great memories from my younger days.

Thanks for sharing that, its always good to hear from someone who has been there and done that.

I forgot what "really nice" means for a college kid.

If u are refering to what these apartments looked like previously, before the full renovation, then yes, they were pretty lame. However, I'm the first tenant to live in this one since, and in comparison, you wouldn't even recognize it IMHO.

How long have those places been there? If they were there when I was student, I don't remember them. And I was an engineering major, so that would have been a nice location.

My cousin lived in the apartment right above that one for the last couple years. Had a bench made out of snowboards outside it. Not sure if he left it or not when he moved back in May. We spent many Saturdays there before games.

That first pic looks like old neyland hill apts.. I lived on the bottom floor of NHA from 99-02. There was a wood 4x4 frame holding up the balcony above and it's hot tub. Alex Walls lived on the top floor.. Ah the good old days. Does the pool still have barbwire around it?

Actually...I think it's coming back to me now. I think I do remember that place.

My junior year I lived in what I honestly believe to be the best apartment in Knoxville. It was in the old city on W. Jackson -- on the block just south of Central -- iin that building where "Earth to Old City" used to be on the ground floor -- right across the street and one building over from the relatively short-lived dance club "Fiction", which was several different names before it was Fiction (and I don't know what it is now).

Me and two buddies had the place on the top floor -- which was like freaking a "MTV Real World" style loft; it was sooo badass -- and we had roof access to boot. It was glorious.

I believe I may have attended a party at said apartment once back in the day (circa 2002). Small world...

Ha! I lived in a single bedroom APT in Neyland Hills my senior year. I told all my friends I could hit the stadium with a golf ball! Its a great location, now that everything has been remodeled I heard its really nice. Have fun!

I lived in Neyland Hills for about 3 years in college, back in the early 90s. Great location. Made some friends there that are still friends to this day. Lived there during the blizzard of '93. Good times.

Even after a couple of days I have to get up and go to the front door or window to look outside and make sure that the stadiums still there... lmao

Keep a check for us. I hear Mack Brown is trying to get it to come to UTjr and he has blank checks.
