Sorry if I'm not reading this correctly but I'm referring to Sirmon as LB coach with LT at DC. I believe Thompson has coordinator experience. BTW this is not what I want, I'm just throwing it out there.

I did mis-read.

My opinion is that Tennessee should not be a proving ground for people getting into the coaching profession. We can hire up and coming coaches but should be limited even with that.

the situation last year was unique and we ended up with too many coaches with limited to no BCS level coaching experience. We should not be looking at a Sirmon at this point in time for a full time coaching position IMO. we need more experienced coaches from BCS level positions.

I must say as a graduate of MTSU....that Manny Diaz would be a great candidate for def coord. position I believe, he did wonders for our defense that year.
