Is that an automatic berth?

#3/4/5/6/7/8 The TaxSlayer Bowl versus ACC or Big Ten.

At this point are we sure we want to play Bama again? I would almost rather recover and not get destroyed again.

It would depend on the rankings. Lose the SECCG and we'd likely fall below FL.

Best case would be Citrus (if (when) we lose the SECCG).

This season has a music city bowl feel...direct result of impeccable coaching

That is an overreaction. I thought we would go 10-2 with losses to Texas A&M and Alabama but with big wins over Florida and Georgia (and I'm an optimist).... So, assuming you really are a Tennessee fan, the only game at this point that should really bother you is SC. Style points aside, can you really be that upset if this team finishes the regular season at 9-3?

We will likely play "O" Bama again. We will lose again but the score will be closer. Maybe a 10 or 14 point loss, rather than the huge loss last time.
I remember the days when Dooley was around and when Fulmer was at the end of his career, we never made it to a bowl game. So, playing in a bowl game is great.
I also remember when we lost to Va. Tech, when Kiffin was coach. When we lost to UNC, when Dooley was coach. I remember losing to PSU, Petifile State University, when Fulmer was our coach.
Going to a bowl game is great but a bowl win is better. It gives us momentum heading in to the off season.

Here's my thoughts. If we win the SEC East & then lose the SEC Championship game that lowers us down to a bowl like the Citrus or Peach or something similar. If we win the SEC East & also win the SEC Championship game then we will get a much much better/higher bowl game in the Cotton or Sugar Bowl or similar.

Regardless, we will not be in the 4 team playoff but could get a really good bowl out of this season. 11-3 or 10-4 isn't bad for what we've had to go through with injuries & turmoil this season.

Not sure.

The Citrus does not really like taking teams from the West. I don't know who else from the SEC would get a New Year's 6 game as all SEC teams but Alabama I anticipate having at least 3 losses.

It will be interesting to see how bowls are set up this year.
