8-4 with a bowl victory over a pretty good Big 12 or Pac 12 team would get us ranked I do believe.

From the Big 12: Texas
From the Big 10: Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa
From the Pac 12: USC, Arizona or Washington
From the ACC: Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech

If we were to win the bowl game, then yes we would be ranked in the preseason poll next year.

We knew what she meant, which was winning the remainder of the games on the schedule.

Highly doubt we'd be ranked either way given that our combined Delta from 2003-2013 is -35.

In addition to other factors, losing our veteran O-line also keeps Tennessee from getting any consideration for a top 25 ranking.
