I don't think there is a rule which is my point. Tennessee is about a 4 win team this year. We can beat UTM 65-0 or 17-10 and it ain't changing the season outcome. We are looking at about 4 wins..

Not me!!!! Go Vols,wins have been hard to come by on Rocky Top and anyone who scoffs at any win is a complete idiot and must live a miserable,disappointing,unfullfilled,meaningless,isolated, momma sheltered,disgusting,negavol life, jk!! :)

There should be no worries! We will beat Martin by as much CDD wants to. This game will have very little to do with the rest of the year much less the next game. I can't imagine our game plan, aside from winning of course, will resemble the one we bring to the Oregon game. With that said enjoy the game tomorrow and GBO!!!!!

that and depth will have to play more by then.. even more inexperienced than the starters... Look for Pope to be replaced quickly if they can find someone. Right now, not happy with anyone at that spot. Look for RG replacement as soon as they can get someone else ready but that one will be young... DT is a real, real problem... one player at the position and having trouble getting him to play hard.. Williams will try but way to small. big time teams will have a field day. Backups are not C USA capable..

Wow, all you point-related people are totally missing the boat. We could win by 60 and still have major issues to worry about.

I will feel good no matter what we win by so long as:
  • Offensive turnovers are kept to a minimum
  • Penalties are kept to a minimum
  • Players appear to be comfortable and knowledgeable in their assignments
  • Tackles include good wrap-up and follow through
  • Special Teams no longer resembles Special Ed.
  • No injuries occur

Scoring is nice. Technical proficiency is better.

:clapping:If I were CDD, I'd only want to win by by 14 or so. If we blow them out, then a few of our players could get a big head. (Mainly because of their youth) However, he could want to run up the score to give the players some cofidence going into Duck season.... Either way we go, I hope we win, and most importantly noone gets hurt, we can't afford any injuries. :clapping:

I don't care if we win by 14 today as long as we keep winning by 14 for the first say, 6-8 weeks. :D

A "W" is a "W" as long as you play well and don't make mistakes. You scoreboard watchers are only kidding yourself if you think because you win big the first game everything is going to be fine. Once the final horn sounds, nothing matters anymore except the whistle for the next kickoff.

If FLA wins by 14, I'll be surprised...but I defintiely wouldn't want to be playing them next week.
