If we still had Dobbs...

Butch would still be here. Tennessee would still be underachieving.......not from Dobbs, but let’s face it all of Butch’s teams underachieved.

Wow this year seems very familiar

No thanks. Dobb's was a very good CFB QB, but he was marginally better at reading defenses and pretty inaccurate. Awesome improviser tho.

Nobody is complaining right now if we are,3-1
Lol.

In 2016, There were a few wanting Butch fired at 5-0. were many still bishing because of Appy St. There were a lot unhappy because we were 5-1 and never seemed prepared. But come to think about it, I guess I don't remember any actual "complaining".

Good lowered.

That’s a fact! Complain who ever coaching or qbing. Heard lots of complaints when Dobbs was there! He can’t throw down field. He inaccurate but I always said when he leaves. Fans are going be crying for a scramble qb. Sure nuff they are!

Since the season is shot anyhow, we might as well live in la la make believe land.

There seems to be a consensus that QB is the weak link on the team. My question is if I were to give this team a sophomore or Junior level Josh Dobbs, what is our record this year?

I'll hang up and listen.
Let's aim even higher. What if we had Peyton instead of JG? At best we'd be 2-2. Losses to UF and Ga St were absolute defensive blowouts. Defensively we had no clue what to do. If anything Peyton would have made those games closer.

Only in light of knowing where we are now.
We’d still be complaining about losing 14 of the last 15 to Florida. And rightfully so.
Maybe, but not about the season as a whole. I think if we were 3-1 with a competitive game against florida the majority of the fanbase would think we were headed in the right direction. As it stands now, noone really believes we are headed in the right directions, you just have those that admit it and those that dont.

dobbs would help... but we still lack leadership this year

and it's not just from the players

So a big part of defense is NOT having to play it to begin with.

Dobbs would have controlled that whole game and we beat GA State by 50....

I don’t think anyone would be complaining because with the schedule we have had that is the minimum expectation.

I can’t believe all the coach fluffers that are defending FCS Pruitt and his 1-3 start with loses to Georgia State and BYU.
