Just speculation here...

If his wife is happy it will be difficult to pull him... no matter what the pay is.

His wife has earned a higher degree and is obviously happy or they would have left because he is the name every year.

In all seriousness, if CDT has to be let go, that is not only a crushing blow for the basketball program, but for this administration overall. We all have seen how difficult it was to resurrect football from the ashes left from a 3-in-3 coaching situation. To have to do that with basketball as well in such a short span....yikes. :blink:

I think Bobby Hurley would be a solid candidate.
Ben Jacobson from Northern Iowa?
Would have said Archie Miller at Dayton, but they just signed him through 2022 (good lord).
It will take Uncle Scrooge money to get Marshall away from Wichita State.
Do we take a chance on Anthony Grant? (Hope not)
How about Larry Davis, who is doing a great job filling in for Mick Cronin at Cincy?

Hopefully this is all moot, and our coach is already in place. GBO

Marshall, Steve Prohm, Chris Mack and will wade are all names I would back fully if they were hired. I'm sure there are many more great coaches that are possibilities but these guys would be well known and a first search group.

No way Marshall and Mack come. First, we won't offer the money. Second, they are in good situations to gamble on a job like UT. They are looking for bigger jobs. We will hire a coach who will get a big pay raise or who is looking to reset his career because he could be on the hot seat soon at his current program. Just the way it is.

I agree with the first part. Not so much with us getting a coach on the hot seat.
