would you be happy? If someone told me before the season began that Vols would be 10-2, I would have been ecstatic. Now...I, like everyone else wants UT to be in the playoffs and more.

We've had so many years of wandering in the wilderness, that I for one am enjoying what this team is doing.

If we go undefeated after the open date combined with what we have already done, I will be ecstatic.

If we were to do that and win this Saturday...second best season since I have been a fan.

10-2...beating FLA but losing to bama.

I would be ok with that, but not happy per se.

10-2 may not get us to the SECCG.

We need to beat both FLA and Bama in the same year.

I'm not sure who would beat them honestly.

They still have UGA, Arky and probably LSU. I don't' think they get out of that without a loss.

Ecstatic.... But I've thought UT would beat Bama this year since the summer. I haven't changed my mind.

I want 11-1....but 10-2 and undefeated in the East wins us a trip to Atlanta....Yes, I'd be happy! :salute:

No we do not. If we go 10-2 we will go to the SECCG. The gators cannot back into the SECCG by ducking the game. It will go to the Presidents and Chancellors of both institutions for resolution if the game is not played.

Regardless I don't think UF wins out anyway. UT is indeed the class of the East this year. We just have to take care of business and even with 2 conf losses we are fine.

However I want to beat Bama more tha FLA anyway.

11-1 and looking back at the A& M loss thinking what might have been. Makes me puke thinking about it but I'll deal with it when the time comes, lol.

I would be happy with the record not so much the discipline. We have the talent to be blowing teams out like Washington is, but stupid penalties, dropped passes, and turnovers are getting in the way of this team being truely great.

Still can happen but in my life I can only recall beating UF/Bama/UGA in the same year maybe three times off the top of my head. If you aren't happy with 10-2 i just don't get it. That's a damn good season

And that's just football because last year we were top five in those catagoires and had 3 losses by now

We've played some ugly games. Last year we couldn't finish. This year we can't start. But to your point, the results are better to this point than last year.

10-2 and playing in Atlanta takes the program to a new level. Ended the UF streak and got our own streak going against UGA now.

This season was massive because it was a turning point for Jones and the Vols. Either we began a slow descent back towards mediocrity, or the momentum continued to build. So far it looks like the latter is happening.

A win on Saturday would be massive, but even with a loss, the team will be huge favorites to win out afterward and go 10-2. That makes recruits take notice and see that the uptick isn't just to be competitive in the East, but to win it. Butch can and will capitalize and keep Tennessee competitive for the foreseeable future.

Don't get me wrong, I want 11-1 and a Bama win more than anything. I would like nothing more than to hand it to Saban, and Kiffin. But, trying to keep perspective, 10-2 and SECG would be all right with me.

Heck..I am already ecstatic about how this season has played out...
I however am getting greedy for this team. 10-2 is the bottom...which would have been the best season we have had since I understood football. 11-1..that is where we will be on the path for after this weekend. I am being really greedy and want this win. I see what they are capable of and know they can do anything any other team can do...THEN SOME!
