Does this mean most of you on Volnation will let that Oklahoma loss slide? I've heard different opinions on this and if we do win, I'd feel much better about winning 8 to 9 games this season. If we lose, I feel like this could turn into another Dooley type situation which we desperately don't need. I just hope Butch learned from his mistakes in that Oklahoma game where he can use that as an advantage against Florida cause I truly want him to succeed here. Thoughts?

I don't think anyone will get over that Oklahoma game, but a win in the swamp will make it a distant memory!

This why this fanbase is stupid and doesn't deserve a good team. No win or loss is more significant.

The only reason to celebrate the Florida win is it makes us 1-0 in conference. PERIOD.

Anything more and you look pathetic and weak.

BS - we will then discuss how it kept us from being top 10 and in discussion for playoffs.

I did notice that we tried more downfield throws in the WC game. Hopefully that will be a part of the game plan against Florida and we can back that damn defense off of our O-line. And if we do. I think we win.

If we beat Florida, all talk of OU will die down. It will be replaced with talk of being "back", running the table, and winning championships. It is the Volnation way.

Yep. It would be getting over this so called hump.

SMH. Getting over the hump for who? The players don't care about Florida. Its an SEC opponent like every other team in the SEC. The players wanna win conference and national titles. Not ending a losing streak to any particular team.

The only folks that will celebrate this Florida win anymore vigorously than any of our other SEC wins are weak minded fans like yourself.

BS. A lot of these guys suffered a heart breaker against UF last year. It means a lot to these players.

I will let the OU game slide a little when we beat FL...that will come back full circle at some point. When we beat FL, I hope we just walk off the field and not make a big deal about it the win...our boys should have the 'just another day at the office mentality' and celebrate when we get home!

I will agree that we have to stop emotions from swinging so wildly based on one win or one loss. However, a Florida loss will foretell another mediocre season, and should raise the red flag a little higher. Losses to Florida and Arky would be cause for some serious concern.

I, too, want CBJ to succeed in every way, but, I will always question going for the field goal from the 1/2 yard line with Jalen Hurd having two shots at a TD. Score 6+1 there and we win in regulation. Oh, well... GBO!!!

Possibly one of the dumbest posts I've read on this site. This is a huge rivalry game. This game is one of the reasons these players come to UT. Most of these players from the state of TN have been UT fans their entire lives. Try telling them that beating UF, UGA, or Bama is the same as beating UK, Vandy, or Mizzou. At the college level players are still fans. Meet some players, hangout with them and you'll find this stuff out.

Under Bray, Tennessee had a great passing game. Uf still blitzed the house. We had no running game to control the clock. Therefore, their dline was fresh all game. Saturday, florida will go man to man in the secondary again while blitzing 6. They don't have a powered offense to run away with the game. They reply on their d to setup field position. Establish the run and stay with the run. Their dline and front 7 will be easier to run on as the time goes by. Pull the guards, run motion, zone reads, qb runs, wr sweeps, screens, passes in the flats.

Dude, if you don't celebrate a win against florida more vigorously than a win over, say Kentucky, you have no passion for the game.

Your statement is effectively criticizing 99.9% of all Vol fans as being "weak minded."
