If we are going to face facts, we need to admit that

Yeah those are the guys who have won championships. But like I said you would, you just dismiss anyone and everyone I say.

Cignetti has lost two games in a year and a half at Indiana, one of the all time football doormats. He already has a better road win than Heupel has ever had. You’d be going crazy for him if he were a Tennessee coach. Lanning is 40-7 as a coach, that’s an elite record. most coaches who start out like that win a championship at some point.

Then you have about 10 guys who haven’t won a championship and probably never will, but you could make an argument that they are a top 10 coach, just like Heupel.
We’ve lost 3 games to Indiana’s 2 while playing a much tougher schedule. I do give them a lot of credit for that Oregon win though. There’s nothing to suggest that Cignettti is clearly better right now though.

Again we’ve won one title since posters have been alive and it took a stumbling Stoerner to make it happen.
Claiming a coach isn’t championship caliber isn’t a risky or gutsy opinion. Cam Newton took Auburn to a title. I’m sure you were talking about auburn coach being a championship caliber coach. Not.

Indiana is historically Vanderbilt levels.
They are. He’s done a great job. We were 5-5 against Vandy shortly before Heupel arrived.

I don’t see Cignetti going to Vandy and having 3 losses in a year and half with a SEC schedule. Cignetti might end up being better than Heupel, it’s just too soon to tell and I believe both are very good coaches. Are they elite? Don’t know, we will find out.

Fan, alum, donor, season ticket holder, all of the above.

I also like to engage in intelligent, educated football discussion based on observations, trends, statistics, and other facts when forming an opinion.

There are plenty of sunshine pumpers on the board who will sing the praises of our team and coaching staff 100% of the time and blame every loss or close game on the officials or some sort of conspiracy instead of giving other teams credit or pointing out our own shortcomings. I’m not one of them.
Ridiculously ignorant to think that everyone that disagrees with you falls into the category that you've characterized with this drivel.

The problem with negativity is there’s a tendency to keep raising the bar so failure to meet expectations is more likely and thus the negativity that feels better to some can continue. Be careful not to fall into that trap, or you’ll look up a December and realize we had a good season that you didn’t even enjoy.
He’s a sock puppet. Many prior incarnations. Allow him his misery.

What did I say that was critical and not fact? Please enlighten me.

Heupel hasn’t gone into a hostile road environment as an underdog at Tennessee and emerged victorious, let alone vs a top ten team, since he’s been here. I won’t believe it will happen until I see it happen.
While only once, we couldn’t have been favored at LSU when we went down there and whipped them.
