We should have gotten
THIS GUY

Ah, what could have been...
I cant help but think if we had gotten Arch instead. Would not have worried about his loyalty (yes they would have squeezed us for money but his people know where the line is). I know he probably wanted to be out from under Peyton's shadow but had we ponied up the money, you never know (wasnt possible because we were paying Nico then).
Cant say it was a complete disaster though. Spyre getting Nico told everyone we were serious about making this work and it helped CJH begin pulling us out of a deeeeeeeep hole with recruits. Indeed, UT was the one who actual front ran the legal part for NIL to even be possible. And even fought for Nico to get paid his then outsized amount. You can tell he was grateful LOL.
And getting curb stomped by OSU was not our desired season end, we did make it to the playoffs last year so there is that. Many would say that was because of other players than Nico but I will say team effort.
Now, I honestly hope Nico only finds a place after much shenanigans and gets dropped down to $1.5m at some midwestern team desperate for relevance, and after a lackluster year gets cut by that team to blow in the wind. Then he declares early, because of course he is still listening to idiots, only to be left as an undrafted free agent.
Nico's story goes from doing great this year and then declaring early to be a first rounder to losing it all and becoming a UFA.
Like Michael Corleone said - Its nothing personal - but for the good of all NCAA, the carcass of Nico's career needs to decorate the national news so as to serve as a warning to other young people not to take the stupid path.
