i agree. kiffin should not get a free pass because he has fulmers players. his coaching job thus far has been very sub par. that is the reason alot of his words seem to have no meaning. he has been outworked and outcoached. so far a not so good start for kiffy

You might have had a point here if the roster left behind by The Fired Coach actually had talent.

It's certainly possible that we could have been 1-3 under Fulmer at this point.

The recievers are going to have to make something happen this weekend "If" they get the ball....We cant have Crompton trying to make a play....

Kiffin, IMHO, just gambled he could get behind JC 100% and have a functioning SEC QB today (today against Auburn). He said Nick was close in practice, so this is the only explanation for both not getting game snaps.

I think he expected to be 3-1 today, which would give at least something to build upon (i.e. above 0.500) for the remainder of October if we lost to a good Auburn team. Finish 0.500 at the end of October, and Vols are probably bowling, probably practicing in Dec, in recruits minds, look on the right track.

But, his gamble didn't pay off at UCLA (and he got outcoached as he should have had the option to put in another QB, which I think, even for two series, would have given us the W).

I think the momentum from this game could easily snowball (both for good or bad). Let's hope the gamble to back JC 100% (JMO) in September turns trumps today. C'mon Vols!

Actually, I'm pretty sure Champyvol was always anti-fulmer. Maybe that was someone with a similar name. Either way, I'm not panicking either.

i'm sorry jack in the box i take offense to that. i called for fulmers head 5 years ago while nearly everybody on this board said i was crazy. i've said over and over again that kiffin was my first choice to be coach here, but that still shouldn't give him a free pass for a team that looks like it needs a coach. alot of the problems they are having are not from talant issues ( which i know there are some ) but from bad routes and bad play calling which comes back to coaching. even kiffin said so. so what are you *****ing about. i'm willing to give the guy his couple of years i just hope this is a learning on the job process, because outside of his recruiting he hasn't been impressive at all.

thank you. nothing pains me worse than somebody that has been on the board as long as hat has blowing a line of BS like that. not panicking, just alittle dissappointed. really wanted to go to a bowl game this year. any bowl that would have made me happy.
