Who would u root for?!? I'm just curious how far our obsession to see Kiffin goes? I mean if he made it to the title game the whole hope that he totally fails is already gone. And I know last year when Kiffin was here I think most fans would've rooted for USC as we were prolly little mini fans of their program since that is who we were modeling to be. So?!? If this scenario happens... who do u root on??! Our biggest arch rivals who we can't seem to beat or does rooting for our ex-coach who left for his dream job even worse?!?
Let's hear it vol nation!!!!

PS This if my first ever new thread I've ever posted... if I did it right.

I'd root for Florida over USC. Right now, I'd say I'd root for Bama, too, although I may feel differently by the time it actually comes up. I don't really care if USC does well once Kiffin leaves. Until then, I want him to do terrible.

SEC first and always. I don't care if Carroll, Kiffin, or favorite son Peyton Manning coached the boys of Troy, I would root for any of our conference brethren over them.

I will never root for Kiffin again. I don't care that he thinks his decision was justified. I just hope he continues his anti-Midas run.

i have always enjoyed watching usc play because they always play good football. i will still enjoy watching them play even though kiffin is now coaching there... but i do agree with previous posts, i will cheer for ANY sec team as long as we win the national championship.. and for that matter any bowl game.

Like I always do, I would cheer for the conference to beat them as badly as possible. This matchup, however, I would probably root for a complete embarrassment.

Hmmm, I should've said in a Reg. season game... the rooting for the SEC to win a national title was kind of too easy. Dang it. lol But thanks for the replies... I was still curious, and I hate to say it, but I think it's very possible. I know everybody says Kiffin is gonna fail. But really he isn't a terrible coach, and he's young and most likely to improve (come onnnn we all felt this way when he was here). He's a great recruiter, and he's got plenty of talent already there. And he's got Monte calling his defense in a pass happy conference... that should fit them to a tee. And as far as the whole being slapped by the NCAA thing... I'm kind of skeptical... NCAA land ESPN oves some USC. Probably another reason Kiffin left here is bec he could get away w/ more there.

Just my thoughts lol

I don’t base anyhting on conference allegiance as I believe that’s extremely stupid. I judge each matchup individually and I would root for Florida over USC and USC over Bama.

That's an interesting answer! And even more old school hating Bama more then Fla. considering we've had more success against Bama then Fla. lately.

Not to take anything from the OP's quality discussion material, but IMO, we will not have to worry about any scenario where Kiffin is the HC and USC is in the BCS title game.

I'm sick of SEC first stuff...

"Our rivals are better than yours" Awesome...

I can understand hating rivals (and I had a hard time rooting for Tebow in any bowl game he played in), but I think we look better when the other teams in the SEC play well. At least in bowl games, then, I see pulling for Florida or Bama as my duty as a Tennessee fan.

Sooner or later, we'll hopefully all move on past Kiffin and a game involving USC will be the same as a game involving UCLA, or the fake UT, or Michigan. Till then, I'll be pulling for him to lose every game he coaches.
