and puts up something like 18/9 I truly believe the Vols become a serious threat to the National Championship. We are one go-to-scorer and better wing defense away from making some major noise this season.

I don't think he'll put up those numbers, but 15 & 6 is not to much of a stretch. And I don't think we are not National championship material, maybe elite 8 or final four if were lucky.

Right now, I totally agree. However, if Tobias can come in and put his stamp on this team, look out America.

Stretch, but who knows. I wonder who will replace the glue-role that Weez played.

I wonder that too, but I disagree with the player. I felt that JP was the "glue guy."

-Best defender
-Good passer
-Best cutter
-Best finisher
-Decent ball-handler
-Gave team a swagger

That's a lot to miss from one guy.

Don't forget the alleyoops... although that plays into good finisher and swagger... I just think it deserved its own bullet point.

if you're eltie eight material, you're NC material... It's all a crapshoot after the sweet 16.

Plenty of people said we were garbage last year complaining about pearl and his squad saying we'd be lucky to make it to the second game.. Then we made it to the elite eight. I am confident in this team and with proper coaching there aren't alotta teams better than us talent wise. The sky is the limit.

Right now, we're one broken wrist from Elite-Eight level defense and will be for six to eight weeks.

I think he will put up as many as neccessary!! He is one of those kids (that we have never had!) that can elevate an entire program! He has the ability to take it from baseline to baseline. Once he gets acclimated to the college game 20-10 won't be out of the question. I don't think with all the pieces the Vols have in place he will be called on to score that many. Go Vols!

Wait a minute, you used a double negative in that statement and I'm not clear on what you are saying.

Are you saying that you think we are championship material or we are not championship material?
And if you are saying that were are not, then how can you say that we maybe elite 8/final 4 (lucky or not)? That is pretty much championship level basketball... puts you in the hunt.

No way the process will be over by season's end. The preliminary report comes next month, the infractions comittee meeting comes in February. The final report will likely come out between April and June.

I'd be happy with 15 and 7 honestly....a lot of people are saying we won't win the East. I've seen us as low as fourth. I think we will have a slight dropoff from last year but this team is talented

Harris is a guy that gets the hustle stats to go along with the glamour stats too. He will get his pts and boards, that I have no doubt of. What he brings to the table in addition is just as key. The kid gets blocks, steals, and shot alterations too. He is one of those players that you won't see out of position much. You won't see him slacking down the court, and you will see him hold other, older players accountable if they aren't giving their all to win the game. Harris has a mean streak, and is a fierce competitor and a great finisher in the paint. His mid-range game is strong as well. If he can get his 3pt % up around 33% his offensive game requires weakside help and creates lanes for cutters and dribble kick-out's. He is the pt forward Bruce's system is made for, and I think even with the lofty expectations, he will impress more and more as the season progresses.

Go Vols!!!

I'm not trying to crash your party and I don't know how old you are, but the greatest player to ever play at Tennessee is Bernard King. If Harris puts up numbers like King and plays with the same fire, look out Final Four!!:twocents:

The numbers would be nice but I'm more interested in seeing if he can be a leader. That's a lot asking for a guy that's just coming in but it's hard seeing that possible from the other guys. Obviously I aint been in practices or seen the chemistry from this team but I think a deep run in the tourney is very possible. A lot of it starts with Goins. He's a lock down defender and I'm just hoping he handles the point well. I really wanna see this kid blow up.

Doesn't hinge on Tobias at all. I see him putting up 15/9. Williams and a healthy Tatum are the keys to the season.

Man, that got me thinking...when is the last time we had two capable posts? I can only imagine what that will be like...
