If They Fight, We Fight - Need Y'alls Help

I hear ya! I'm a new fan so I really don't fully understand the frustration of the fan base, although I can see it's warranted by the Vols performance in the last couple of decades. I try to put myself in their shoes and it must be hard supporting your team when you are constantly disappointed. Still as a fan base they have constantly shown up to support their team I give them that. But I do question something I saw last week. I try to imagine myself as a player too, you've worked hard all summer, sweated and strained under the Summer sun, you're learning a new scheme and that takes time, you are under a lot of pressure from this hungry fan base to succeed and from the new coaches who are also under pressure from the university to win. Man, if I was a player and had played in that Florida game, I would have defiantly been affected by the sight of so many fans leaving the stands. I don't think the team is high on confidence anyway and that would have been enough to make anyone lose confidence. So the players are expected by the fans to fight harder if they are down and not give up but to give their all, but the fans are free to leave at halftime if the team is down? I don't get that? I know not everyone left but a lot did. I guess that is just how it is I don't know, but I wouldn't have left myself.

Im not being a turd.....fans have been there all along bro
You pretty much are with everything you post. It is fine to be upset with the team but it is all the time with you. People who wants to do something to show support should do it. If you don't want to be involved then don't.

All I'm saying is that we let the team know that they aren't in this fight alone, that we're there too. It's just to give them some more support. You don't have to be a turd about it.

100k + at the Florida game and evenn the few that are slow know they habe our support

Will the players get excited watching videos of middle aged dudes getting red faced and popping blood vessels while screaming war whoops? It didn't work for Butch. I do think it would be funny to watch. Just don't hurt yourself.

I know this season's been rough and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but our football team needs us more than ever.

I watched Coach Pruitt’s emotional press conference after the Georgia Game today about how our players kept fighting and I had never really stopped and thought about what the players have gone through.

For them to have been part of the worst season in Tennessee History and how this season has gone, it’d be easy for them to roll over, but they’ve kept on fighting regardless of what the scoreboard says. The reality is that all we can ask of our players is that they give their all.

So I want to do something to show our team and the world that no matter how difficult things get that we stand by our Tennessee Vols no matter what.

I want to send a message from Volnation, that if the players and coaches fight, we fight with them. And I need y'alls help to do this.

I’m not asking for money and I’m not even asking for that much effort.

And if you’ve already given up and already decided to take a break this season, that’s ok, this isn’t for you.

But if you stand by the team no matter what or if you want to do something, ANYTHING, to try and inspire our team here’s what I’m proposing :
-Make a short video and in the clip say, “IF YOU FIGHT, WE FIGHT! NO MATTER WHAT! GO VOLS!" The clip doesn’t have to be fancy or long, just a few seconds on a camera phone is fine.
-Make sure you’re in Tennessee gear
-Upload and email it to TNVolForEver@gmail.com
-I’ll stitch the video together with all of our clips (although if there’s anyone here with some video editing skills that’d be great because I’m a bit of a novice. I may even try to get in touch with the University video department)
-Share this message with your Vol friends

I don’t know if this will really make an effect in terms of Wins and Losses. And I know some of y'all will think this is stupid.

But how can I ask our players to give their all while I'm over here sitting around doing nothing. It doesn't matter if the road looks rough right now, if our players and coaches want to keep fighting, then I want to fight with them.

But I need y’alls help too. So send in your video and let's show our guys we've got their backs! Go Vols!

Here's a video of Pruitt's emotional press conference if you haven't seen it:

Thank you for this post. It is such a refreshing experience to see it given the negative posts that, yea, that are practically anti-players. Posts that make me think it was a good thing such people weren't at Bastogne or Bunker Hill as damage done would have been more effective than enemy bullets and artillery. I may not have needed but thank anyway for further Vol-izing me.
