...what position would be most important to go for? I know this is similar to what we do in recruiting but for those within the fanbase who aren't insane enough to keep up with all the names within recruiting, we can still discuss the most needed position.

So assuming we could "draft" a 5*, top-notch HS player, what position should the Vols go for?

Personally, I'd probably say an offensive lineman. Most likely a tackle since Kerybson leaves after this season and we haven't really had anyone else solidify themselves at tackle. But depending on the players available at our "pick," I'd just want to go with the best possible offensive lineman.

Some close runner ups would be RB and TE.

WR

Pig,Johnson, and Von are seniors. North could leave early if he has a big season. Butch and Azzani really want around 11 guys who can play.

I agree. You can never have too many good wide receivers.

BTW who was the 5 star TN receiver that went to GA during Butch's first recruiting class? I think he was from the Chattanooga area. He pissed a bunch of TN fans off and I don't remember him doing squat since. I know he got hurt his freshman season, but I haven't heard a peep about him since.

Assuming this draft pick was guaranteed to be an All-American, I take a QB every time.

Based on "need", i'd take an OT

I think you're thinking of Von bell but he went to osu and he's a safety

Like the other guy who responded to this, I think you're talking about Von Bell, safety at OSU. And actually he is doing pretty darn good. 7 INT's in 2 seasons as a Buckeye. He was second on the team in tackles last season. He is legit.

Wasn't he a LB prospect coming out of HS?

Reciever. Even with no O line we could line up in shotgun, count as low as 3 Mississippi and just launch it high and far!
