If The Vols Are For Real, UGA Has A Real Problem

I know, how much many of you love the AJC. Seriously though, Bradley is outlining what many of us think: there's no doubt that we've got talent. The question is whether or not we can put it together for four quarters the way we did for the last two against FL. If so, the A&M and AL games are going to be a lot of fun to watch.

I wish folks would leave Butch alone! does anyone remember how bad we were before butch!. everyone needs to chill. Dobbs will graduate. Tenn ain't been 4-0 in a long while Dobbs could play well. coaches need a game plan that he can execute. not what we want him to do. also vols gonna have to get off the holds Georgia's offensive line is so good at. they don't call them hold'em dogs for nothing

when Dobbs didn't hold the ball to long he did well runnnnnnnnnnnn! but let's try running somewhere else other than up the middle. you no the definition of insanity is when you try the same thing over and over and over and over expecting a different outcome

And I expect our pass rush will eat them alive.

It came to life second half last week, and this week they've got a bone to pick with UGA's OL. Can't end well for Eason.

it's mental you have to run through your opponent. an don't hesitate shortest distance between to points is a straight line but we are gonna need to shake the holding there gonna do

i think the GA game could wind up being a shoot out. GA has more offensive skill, in total, than FL, and McKenzie and Godwin are both dangerous, Michel and Chubb speak for themselves and the freshman has flashed.

they can present problems for our defense if they are good on 1st down. if we get 'em to the point where we can use the Dline to rush the passer, then we can take advantage of their Oline.

that said, i expect them to hit some big plays.

on the other side of the ball, if i'm a GA fan, i'm scared to death of my defense....and we present some nightmare match ups for them.

i think all in all, it's set up for maybe a pretty high scoring game.

It is generally a close game no matter which team is supposed to be better. I hope we get over that and blow them out.

Their larger problem is that we are going to be stealing top recruits from Atlanta and beyond for a generation.

Butch to Kirby over the next few years:

If you have a milkshake... and I have a milkshake... and I have a straw; there it is, that’s the straw, see? Watch it. My straw reaches across the room... and starts to drink your milkshake: I... drink... your... milkshake!

I drink it up!

On the current roster

Player - Hometown

Abernathy, Micah - Atlanta, Ga.
Bain, Paul - Powder Springs, Ga.
Berry, Elliott - Fairburn, GA

I love how he mentions that we only beat Georgia last year after Chubb went out

He also said that Butch and UT failed to beat anybody of note except Ga last year, ignoring the beat down of Northwestern in the bowl last year and defeat of SC (went 11-2) in 2013. Guess he considers Ga the only good team around.

Notice how much our opponents are fumbling this year?

Yeah, they can feel Bain looking at them.

It is Butch's greatest mercy that he has not put Bain on the field to decimate our opponents.

Seriously, I hope we get this guy some PT this year. Back during the Dooley era he'd be playing 92 snaps a game most likely. Hard to crack this lineup now coming from Tusculum to the SEC.

Or that it was the only significant victory for Butch Jones since arriving in Knoxville.

I guess he wasn't paying attention to wins over #11 South Carlonia in 2013, and #12 Nouthwestern in the Outback Bowl on January 1.

He probably forgets that Jones has won 10 straight games at UT.

IMHO, this isn't a blip it's a complete and total resurgence of Tennessee Football!!!

Is Chubb going to play? Has anyone heard anything concrete? That will make a big difference. I know we have the better team but Chubb is a massive home run threat RB and if on the field has to be respected.

I think Dobbs is going to have another big day throwing. He will get some rushing yards but I believe he will throw for 250+ against UGA. I really hope Hurd can get 100 yards on the ground.

I honestly think you will see a the Tennessee team that we expected from here on out. They looked awesome in the second half last Saturday and that kind of thing is contagious. The sleeping giant has finally woken. One thing we can almost guarantee is that if we come out slow the staff will make their adjustments at half.

Chubb hasn't looked good when he has played.

Their OL is complete dog crap.
