If the SEC were to add four more teams, who would you want to see join the league?

Why would anyone want to add Memphis. They would add nothing to the SEC.
Memphis would NEVER be allowed in the SEC IMO. From lack of fan support, bad facilities, and a city with MAJOR issues (plus a lot of other negatives) Memphis would be a taker from the conference and not a contributor. Fairly confident in saying it won’t happen!

Agree. Memphis would lessen the SEC and should never be considered for so many reasons

I get why folks want to add ND for the recruiting exposure, history, and such but if they align with a conference it will be ACC...teams they are already used to playing and beating.

Memphis can’t even buy their way into the Big 12 and some of y’all want them in the SEC 🤔
Actually I could see the Big 12 really coming out of this smelling like a rose when the ACC eventually dismantles. I could see them picking up schools like Miami, Louisville, Virginia, Virginia Tech, SMU, NC State, etc while the SEC picks up Clemson, FSU, North Carolina. Syracuse and Pitt belong in the Big 10. Schools like Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Duke should drop down to a Group of 5 conference.

If you are going to expand into North Carolina, then I don't see a point in wasting time with NC State. Go get UNC and Duke. Then, expand into Virginia and get UVA. Top it off with Clemson if they want in or Va Tech if Clemson doesn't want it.
Adding UNC and Duke would be an enormous boost to SEC hoops.

Good grief just stop. The conference don’t need anymore teams.

This x 1000.

I clearly understand that expansion is unavoidable, but if anything I prefer going in the other direction and kicking Missouri, A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma back to the Big 12 where they belong.

My overwhelming top choices:
UNC
UVA
------
Next obvious choice but I don't love as much as the top 2:
WVU
------
Next tier that I could be talked into any of these vs the others:
GT
Tulane - I do like the idea of bringing back these two former members but I'm not sure Tulane is up to the challenge and ready to compete
Miami - adds very little but better academically than FSU
NCST - adds nothing if UNC is in
VT - adds nothing if UVA is in
FSU - adds very little
Clemson - adds very little
------
Pointless additions that I hate:
Duke
Wake Forest
Louisville
Memphis

Perhaps, but they have been so bad at football here lately that I am not sure who is a better school to add. I feel like Virginia would make smarter decisions and be more competitive, but just because I feel that way does not make it true.
UVA would immediately replace Vandy at the bottom in football — they’re pathetic. VT at least has a good football environment and some history of success. UVA fans are also super pretentious and wear blazers to games. They’d be a terrible culture fit.

If you look at a map of your projections, the BIG XII would be like a moat around the SEC protecting it from the B10.

Let's keep it "SE", since in theory it's still the SEC.

UNC, NCST, FSU, UCF. Laugh away. Miami is...well, Miami.

Never liked the addition of Arkansas and Mizzou. Still don't. No one considers anything west of the Mississippi to be "southeast". Texas, TXAM, and OU a laugher. All about the media market. Where were they gonna go, the Big 10/12/16? And who would care? Oh, ESPN.

There were better options in the actual southeast.

Bottom line: the last 5 additions were anything but "Southeast". And why I'm against UVA and VT. Too close to DC for my comfort. WVU too far north.

The SEC stopped being the "SEC" years back. It is what it is. Now it's all about the media market, which is pronounced "money".

Any decent college teams in Canada or Great Britain? Hell, let's go global. Somebody's up at 3 AM, right?

I'll see myself out...

Charlottesville and Blacksburg VA are both further south and east than Lexington, KY....

Ohio state
Michigan
Penn state
Notre Dame

Let's get this over with already. Let all the other schools pick up the scraps.

Adding anyone else means a 9 game conference schedule is certain. No thanks

So we beat eachother to death and struggle to make the playoffs while B10 schools play nobody all year. No good.

Bama and Ole Miss didnt make the playoffs last year at 9-3. How many B10 teams AND playoff teams could Bama or OM beat from last season? This is with an 8 game SEC schedule. Adding a 9th is stupid and will lead to more SEC teams left out which some years will include UT. If we go 9-3 this season as most folks believe we will....we will be just like Bama and OM from last season. On the outside looking in with a team better than some who made the tournament.
