If the SEC adds A&M and Missouri...

If you just do it geographically, I guess it would be Aubarn to the East.

Interesting dellema for a lot of schools, move to SEC means big SEC TV $$$ but also means getting your arse handed to you by AL, FL, LSU, and Aub every other saturday.

My personal choice is to bring in Notre Dame! Would love a crack at them!

ND would also have the side benefit of all ND homer sports writers having to give the SEC more love because ND is in it. This means you ESPN!! :shaking2:

Missouri would bring in the St. Louis and Kansas City TV markets. I bet the SEC wouldn't mind that.

Eh..... They would probably be more into the big ten teams and atmosphere. I think their die hard fans would be extatic to be associated with the SEC though.

Move Vandy west, bring Auburn and Bama east.

I can't believe how many people on VN want this. Very bad idea, IMO. Football is a sport we can beat Vandy (a rival) in these days. Plus, our football schedule is tough enough as is.

Well I don't care about vandy, but that would be putting a majority of SEC powerhouses in one division.

If the SEC winds up with only 14 Missouri can go to the East, TAMU to the West, and everyone else stays put

Dumbest idea I have ever heard on Volnation and I have been reading this board for five years. If we did this we would turn into Clemson or Georgia Tech permanently (not this years version of Clemson).

Florida, Bama, Georgia, and Auburn in our division. Fun times.

We already have to beat maybe all but one of Florida, Bama, Georgia, Auburn and LSU in any given year to win the SEC.

As much as Vandy is lame in football they are pretty good in Basketball and they do bring academic clout to the SEC so I dont think they are going anywhere other than the SEC. It seems like expansion is beyond the experimental phase with the A&M announcement so all of those who are hoping to stay at 12 should prob start thinking of the future. Obviously these kids have to travel to the games so IF Mizzou were to come into the SEC it only make sense for them to be in the West and Auburn, or God forbide BAMA, come to the East.

From what I heard yesterday, FSU and Maryland stood up and said they did not want to raise the exit fee to $40million, so it stays at $20. Makes you wonder what is going on behind closed doors.

I personally would love to see Maryland in the SEC and it has nothing to do with the fact that I would get to see my VOLS in action every other year ;) Is there any other schools from the ACC rumored except Tech?

I hope we get to join you all in the SEC. Here in Missouri there seems to be a lot of momentum in that direction. The BOC, the AD, the governor, and the chancellor have all been getting bombarded with emails and phone calls from Missouri fans, alumni, students, and boosters. A lot of people want this to happen. Including Gary Pinkel and the AD according to the KC Star.

"Word is football coach Gary Pinkel, the conscience for frustrated Big 12 programs, and athletic director Mike Alden see moving as the better option."

As for possible divisions I like this map the best.

Heard slive wants UNC, likely not gonna happen. I don't think they're in a rush and will likely exhaust all options in trying to pull an ACC school before considering Mizzou.

Just makes since for us to go east and try to untap the N.Carolina or Virginia markets.

I agree...there is a gaping hole in that map above just to our east and northeast. It makes perfecet sense geographically, athletically, financially, and academically to go after UNC or even Virginia/Virginia Tech but all I keep hearing is that the ACC is not open.

The ACC just approved a $20 million exit fee. It was voted on a couple of weeks ago and was effective immediately. That's a lot of cash to pony up, even if it means more dollars in the long run.

All I can say is be careful of what you wish for. You guys would be bottom feeders for a while.
