If the fans showing displeasure at refs in Neyland hurts you

He got the first down. Just barely but it should have kept the chains moving.

Like I said before, if that was another player in a Bama or Georgia uniform, referees wouldn’t have hesitated to call that a first down.

Sankey is the reason why the rest of the SEC is screwed.

The review would have overruled any first down ruling. There’s a reason why the review booths have 3-4 screens in each stadium. When you time the wide angle replay with the endzone angle replay, you can tell where the ball is (tucked at the waist) and where his knee goes down. When both timed, it’s clear as day he was short. It’s amazing how many people don’t understand how reviews work in the booth…… literally every review uses and syncs multiple angles unless there is one definitive one that shows proof to confirm or overrule a call on the field.

Lol - you really believe they don’t give that to Bama or UGA, even on review?

Then feel free to put your vol swag on Ebay and show yourself out. That officiating crew needed to shaken up a bit and a little fear instilled in them. If that’s too much for your gentle heart then kindly piss off. Sometimes being an ******* is worth it and last night was one of those times.
Showing displeasure by throwing items on the field is the problem. Yell, scream, cuss even verbally threatening are showing displeasure. Throwing things on the field is a sign of a drunk moron, or a person with sociopathic tendencies. Do you throw things out your window when someone cuts you off on the highway? Do you throw golf balls at someone who cuts in front of you in line? The actions of the moronic minority last night are in NO WAY justified. I am guessing you were one of the idiots that threw something on the field.

Well the review showed the player didn’t get the first down….. so regardless of uniform, there was video evidence the first down line wasn’t reached….

That’s a first down all day in Tuscaloosa or Athens.

Sorry Josh. No he did not. The ball was clearly on his hip when he went down and it was short. Not a yard short but it was short. If it had been in his right hand, yes it would have been a first down.

Totally worth it. This is the New Neyland. Visiting opponents just going to have to deal

What bothers me more about the 4th down play is how the hell can the side judge be 17 yards out of position to make that call. Had he marked it at the 40, they pulled the chains and we made it the call would have stood. Also if it was 1 inch short it would have stood as well. These games generate billions of revenue why can’t they have a camera angle from the opposite side?

dude wasn’t a yard short if he was short at all. Kindly **** off.[/QUOTE

yea he actually was. His right hand was empty it crossed the marker. But the ball was in his left hand at his waist. Knee was down I watched the replay over and over many angles. Sucks but it was the right call.

Most of Neyland was watching the jumbotron replay which looked like he made it. Couldn’t tell the ball was tucked.

This is the problem. The Jumbotron didn’t run multiple angles synced at same time shown at once…. When you do that and this is what the review booth does, it’s clear as day we didn’t get the line to gain.
