Saturday forecast for Athens showing rain likely, with a potential for 1/2” or so. If that is the case, it will be a real old-school type game in the trenches. Hell, it probably would be anyway. Ball security will be at a premium.

Would be nice to force a couple fumbles. Will be interesting to see the effect on the passing game as well.

What say you?

It rains on both teams.
Have the Vols been able to practice in the rain this year?

I would love a repeat of the 1994 game where UT rushed 71 times for 383 yards and held the ball for nearly 40 minutes. UGA knew UT's passing game was non-existent with Helton at QB (9-13 for 110 yards) and it didn't matter.

I hope Kevin Mays showed this game to Cade.

Weird. I was wondering the same thing the other day. Running the ball might be an advantage right? Especially if the field gets sloppy like ours did that one year.

We clearly looked much more dominant running the ball with Mays.

Too soon to tell if it was Mizzou just being that bad or May's solidifying the run but even Chaney called the game differently than he normally does.

If they cant throw the ball well against us and it becomes a sluggish fest I like our chances much better.

This storm is expected to swallow up the other tropical storm in front of it on the way to the gulf coast

I know it’s 5 days away, but another tropical system in the Gulf could be working it’s way through the Athens area on Saturday. “COULD” be a washout.
