Then you fight them, get beat but not knocked out, it doesn't mean all of a sudden you have a valid argument, or brag about how you didn't get knocked out...
It is even more shameful than just simply taking the loss along with all the big talk that happened beforehand.

Not directed towards CLK or our team in any way...

FAIL! If someone brags that they are going to knock you out (and they are the reigning champ, while you're not even ranked), and all the pundits are betting on an early knock out, and you hang in there with the champ....toe to toe, the full 10rds and come close to pulling off the upset...you've done something and deserve more respect than what you came in with.

Try again.

Have you ever seen Rocky Balboa?

Then why does everybody use the narrow win over NIU last year as one of the awful displays Fulmer put on last year if it didn't REALLY mean anything?

If the guy that was running his mouth about knocking the other one out(who happens to be incredibly over matched in every way possible) gets all he can handle, the loser definitely doesn't run his mouth but everybody else takes notice and realizes the loser may be tougher than everybody was giving him credit for.

True. We did do something. Maybe we do deserve more respect... But nothing to brag about.
You fail.

Consider that someone was 6'7" 270 and you were 5'10" 180. That 6'7" guy was the media and Fl fans last week. Understand?

Ever seen the first Rocky? It's not always about winning, it's about laying it all on the line no matter what and having the courage to come in and give the other guy your best shot, even if he is bigger and stronger than you are. I am proud of our team because I think they did that against the gators, sometimes you have to look past the scoreboard.

You bring yourself more shame by running your mouth after a loss than you do by just taking your medicine.

Your leaving out the part about the person talking crap being Mike Tyson, and you are a skinny frat boy. The fight is won by decision.

I'm super proud of them too...

Did Rocky run his mouth after defeat ?

I'm just talking about the fans. Not the team. Not the coaches. Not the media. Our fans are doing a whole lot of talking like we really WON something. It's embarrassing.

What the crap ever. Meyer accused Kiffin of not being a winner. That's about the biggest insult that can be lobbed at a guy like Lane. It also seriously messes with recruiting if any kids are dumb enough to believe it. I'm glad our coach didn't just lie down, or cry to Mike Hamilton. I hope this war of words continues. That's a battle where Kiffin has Meyer hopelessly outgunned.

Wow. This will be... a really unpopular opinion here.
