Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz, what.....what? Oh sorry I was dreaming we had a great o line that was nocking fools on their aces, hunter was healthy, poole was running with authority like the cheese, Simms was on the money because the ball wasn't super glued to his right hand, and our D was top 10 in the country and playing like it........then I woke up....

Ok, no one is even considering this because of obvious reasons, but IF he get some actual production from Poole to help and has a good game against LSU and wins, will he beat the starter for the rest of the season? Oddly enough, the run game was better with him under center last year....maybe because that is all we had to really rely on I dunno....but I have this strange feeling we are going to give LSU a game this weekend. Simms looked good on last TD drive against UGA and we all know he is tough as nails and has a lot of good experience against fierce Ds. He could be a Greg Mcelroy type of QB IMO.

But if he beats LSU and plays well enough against the next three opponents to not be blamed for a loss, does he win the starting job?

Quit smoking that stuff. It will make you believe anything.:lolabove:

If he can pull out a win in one of these games and does well the other games, then it will be based on how Simms and a healthy Bray do in practice. Then CDD will decide who starts.

and totally ignorant post. WTH do you think, Bray is an All American, Simms is a tough journeyman but really can't hold Bray's jockstrap. Get real!

Sometimes it is less about the individual performance and more about how the team responds to his leadership. If Simms is able to elevate the Os performance high enough to compete and win a few big games, CDD may see that as more important than Brays better arm.

Agreed, but I don't think Bray has leadership problems.

Yet, the losses last year were all Simms' fault. Yes, I remember (most) everyone on here complaining about how terrible Simms is. However, find my post on the topic about Simms going to have the worst winning % ever. I compared the stats of both guys against Florida and Georgia (the best teams both guys played against) and Simms' numbers are/were just as good, if not better, because both Florida and Georgia were better last year.

First, I never said the losses were Simms fault. Secondly, if you honestly think Simms is better than Bray then you are delusional. I think CDD and OC can evaluate the talent far better than either one of us and they put their trust in Bray, not Simms.

Simms stats are no where near as good as Bray's. He simply cannot "see" the field the way Bray does and his accuracy is not even in the same universe.

Now, having said all of that, I admit that Bray came in last year and played against weaker teams than Simms did. Would we have won with Simms under center - sure - but as many - who knows?

But Bray is far superior to Simms. Everybody knows it - you need to accept it.
