If Simms beats LSU

Sometimes it is less about the individual performance and more about how the team responds to his leadership. If Simms is able to elevate the Os performance high enough to compete and win a few big games, CDD may see that as more important than Brays better arm.

LOL, I pretty much posted this same thought in the other Simms thread as a question.

Bray has the arm & instinct but Simms may provide stronger leadership giving this group a needed spark.

Not a chance. Bray can hand off just as good as Simms but Bray can throw the ball much better than Simms.

I don't think it matters how many games we win with Simms - Bray will be the starter. Why would you leave in an inferior QB. None of the losses we've had so far has anything to do with Bray's performance.

Yet, the losses last year were all Simms' fault. Yes, I remember (most) everyone on here complaining about how terrible Simms is. However, find my post on the topic about Simms going to have the worst winning % ever. I compared the stats of both guys against Florida and Georgia (the best teams both guys played against) and Simms' numbers are/were just as good, if not better, because both Florida and Georgia were better last year.

I'm trying to figure out we're even talking about this. LSU then BAMA then SC in a row. Stop dreaming. Stupid thread.

Just glad the OP has a "strange feeling" this week and not more visions of Poole running wild. (or Scroggins for that matter)

Simms is tough..he is a NFL mould QB..just needs to work on a faster release and he can be deadly..he is pretty accurate and has good read..

What exactly qualifies anyone as a "NFL mould QB"?
Check the stats last year.
He's neither accurate nor deadly, and can't read the defense for sh*t.
But I hope he can prove me wrong.

"NFL Mould QB" - (n). A Quarterback who was born from highly successful NFL QB. usage: Phil Simms has 2 college QB who grew up moulded from the fruit of his loins.

alternate meaning: NFL QB's who hold onto that ball that long are often getting casts "molded" around their arms, legs, or in extreme cases, body casts.

i would say yes if it were me let him finsih out the year caue by the time bray comes back the year will almost be over anyway so let simms finish out strong and let bray get fully healed and that way he can be ready for next year when hunter comes back as well cant wait for our offense next year

WR hunter
croom

wr d rodgers
bowles

swr z rodgers
arnett

te riverra
downs/clear

qb bray

rb
lane/neal

just imagine if they sign alton howard as well and i think the the added wr depth neal goes back to rb just no matter how u look at it the offense is scarry lookin next year with out any injuries.:dance2: also if the sign benquiz brown would be even better yet,who by the way has tn in his top three with uf and miss st

If Zach Rodgers is starting at slot next year ahead of Arnett I will be very very disappointed.

In fact, why the hell was Rodgers starting last week ahead of Arnett against UGA??? Anyone can see Arnett is better. We NEED Arnett as a starter at some point in this year so we will have a good third weapon next year at WR....Zach Rodgers will never be any good.

NEVER willingly grab your ankles.

Tell that to your sister.

Sorry, too easy. But I agree, absolutely not. But debating like we are gonna beat LSU, win all these games, and if simms might become starting QB if Bray comes back this season all that shat...it's ridiculous.

At Bama probably not going to work out so well for us. LSU & SC at home, chances are very slim but better than getting one over on Bama.

Kinda seems like the team play up or down to the competition. With Georgia they started out strong then went flat, so I'm holding out hope they play up this week.

It is very likely that Saturday is going to be a rough day for us. But, who knows? If our guys come out with some intensity, plays mistake free ball and LSU has a down game, things could go our way. Stranger things have happened.

That being said, I would like to add, considering the past couple of years, nothing would surprise me.

If Devrin breaks open the kickoff, makes it to the 5yd. line only to be taken out by a meteorite...I wouldn't be shocked.

bray done good on the 4 completions, but the one time he had pressure what did he do? Throw the ball up in the air for grabs. If his one receiver isn't open he panics. No doubt, as soon as Bray can come back, simms is on the bench. I doubt TN leaves simms in for the entire LSU game. Whorley will get a shot before bray gets back.

Seriously? Only because Bray is out for the season maybe but if Bray was coming back in a couple weeks, Heck No! Just think what Bray could do if he had a running game.

I have visions of Poole running wild. They come soon after a strange feeling, best described as a slight tingling sensation. jk
