If Sal Sunseri is still employed Monday

To all you Sal Sunseri haters guys this is his first year. Our def players is still confuse. It going to take three year before our def gel...

Most people are taking everything at face value and rushing to judge what seems to be obvious. We have some solid recruits out of HS that should obviously be able to perform at a much higher level than this. The problem has to be coaching , right? They're always out of position, they take bad angles and bite on every trick in the book. But, it's not that simple. If you watch replays of the games, you will see a lack of interest in what Sal is trying to tell them. They don't care.

So you think someone else calling the defensive alignment will magical give the 4.6 speed guys 4.4 and make the inexperience suddenly have experience....just asking....Alignment certainly had a huge outcome but for example on the draw that Troy kept running(the success of their passing game contributed to the draw success too) our linebackers on EVERY LAST DRAW THAT WAS CALLED was out of position and not in their predetermined lanes...every time....dont think calling the defensive schemes will help that....but I agree we certainly have our work cut out for us....but please fan bases dont cry like a bunch of teenage girls....frankly its embarrassing and I just dismiss opinions when coupled with the high pitched crying that accompanys it...JMO...
Are you watching the same games? Leaving AJ Johnson all alone in the middle of the field while calling so many dime formations, then asking him to shed OL blocks all the time (which he isn't very good at) and then make a tackle on the RB that has a 5 yard running start is Sunseri's doing.

Asking our horrid DB's to play so much man-to-man when they are incapable of it technique-wise and don't have the speed is Sunseri's doing.

And if you can honestly still act like he deserved to call another game after calling a single safety man defense on 3rd and goal from the 26 against South Carolina, then you know zilch about football. A minimally competent DC would know to call a 2-safety, keep everything in front of you formation on that play.

Sunseri is completely lost when it comes to in-game playcalling (which is 100% indisputable at this point) and he has no ability to teach kids to learn a few basic defenses to allow them to get confident with a few different play calls. He has thrown everything in the world at them and they are beyond confused. And now that they can't get anything right, I don't believe the majority of them think they can successfully defend anyone. That lays at the feet of a horrible DC.

Anyone who has had moderate success calling a defense would immediately make them marginally better, and Conklin fits that bill. Why he wasn't let go after South Carolina just speaks to Dooley knowing if he does that he is digging his own grave. Not like it matters, though, I think that started about 3 weeks ago.

Sunseri will never get a job at even a junior high level calling a defense for the rest of his life. Hell, he will be lucky to get a LB coaching job after this season since our LB's have shown zero improvement at all, and that's supposedly his forte.

As much as I think he should have been let go after the Carolina game I think they do nothing in hopes of winning the rest of the games to get a bowl acceptance. It's about the money at this point. Bowl birth means additional money into the Ath Dept which they can use, especially if there is a buy out coming. After that if this team lays an egg in the bowl (likely will) then it's justified to let the HC go along with the DC.

True is true! You broke it down to where even the novice fan that's been watching would understand. Glad someone noticed how he has AJ out there on an Island getting blocked by O-lineman. AJ can't shed that blocker quick enough that's why we see teams all season running it up the gut. No one else is there to plug the gaps.

wasn't Hart the one that hung onto Bowden at FSU ? and hasn't CSS dumbed the defense down to where anybody can pick it apart ? there is something bad happening to Sal and his defense, obviously, i don't know if it is communication, bad play calling, just a lack of talent or what,or our guys just can't grasp it

Wilcox did better with basically the same group of players last year and didn't somebody on here say, that Wilcoxs young honey from here, went out west with him ? i know i read that somewhere, think Petrino, and i've heard that Hart, suggested Sal after Steeles defense gave up 70 points last year

what a huge mess for sure,i don't see no easy way out of it either

Amen Ray Lewis couldn't make that play 50% of the time. The blocker can just stand there and more than not a back with a 5 yard start with a guy in front on one defender, forget it. My head is going to explode if I see that again.
