Would there be a chance that he would leave to come to UT either this year or after 2012? We'd have to put a blank check on his desk and tell him to name his price basically, but I'm not so sure that he wouldn't think about it seriously. If he won a championship at UT, he would likely go down as the best to ever coach.

I know he's older which would hurt those chances... Plus not sure he would want to step in after Dooley, but if you gave him a 5 year/$40mm deal... I think it could happen.

Saban would be in a league that no coach may ever reach again... And he's egotistical enough to want that. Thoughts?

I will say I did want him to come to TN when Phil was hanging on to life here, and Sabin was in Miami. My worst nightmare came true when he left in the middle of the night and went to bama and we still had Phil.

Saban will retire at Alabama.

Well... I think the rumors about Texas are bs but I could see him leaving Bama for Texas. He regretted leaving LSU and Texas is closer to Louisiana than Alabama. As much money, less time recruiting for better recruits and easier conference to win.

But yeah... I'd say he'd retire there unless he wants to go pro or an easier gig.

I think its pretty safe to say hes done with the NFL.

you honestly think he would leave Alabama to come to UT?

Not really ... But I don't think it's as far fetched as what people think. For that kind of money and what that would do to his legacy is enough to make me wonder. 3 championships at 3 different programs would be insane...

What would he accomplish by being here that he hasn't at Alabama?

I just don't know if anyone would ever reach 3 championships at 3 different programs... I could see someone matching him with 2 championships at 2 different programs. If he wins one more this year, he may think his legacy is already sealed and have no desire to do something like that though.
