If Eddie George comes out of retirement, will Urban Meyer out recruit us in Nashville?

I only opened this thread because I was hoping it would say:

"Will we win one before Bud dies?"

Only if the Titans sign Peyton,Reggie Wayne,Mario Williams and a O Lineman, and a couple more on D.

somehow the TItans managed to land manning, and it was secretly Bray's favorite player. Then maybe on a non-football related trip he bumped into Manning at a Nashville "Steak and Shake" and got a signed armband. He may be inspired enough to up his game another few notches, and thus allowing the vols to pick up a 10-2 record and producing a favorable recruiting presence???

Short: It probably wouldn't help

Sweet: Winning games is the best recruiting tatic

I think I just seen across the ticker that Reggie Wayne just signed a 3 year deal with the Colts. I may be wrong.

Peyton would be wise to retire. His glory days are over and it would be discouraging to see him pull a Farve over the next couple of years. Appreciate what he has done for UT and what he has accomplished in the NFL. In reality, it's time for Peyton to kick out the footlights and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Exactly..It won't. Plus he's not gonna be playing for the Titans.

And wtf do you know? You have absolutely no idea where he will sign, and right now our chances look at least as good as everyone elses.

I don't see it either friend, if we had a better defense, I'd be all about it. But we don't. I just want him to win one! Anywhere!

Are you forgetting that the defense was actually good last year? In the first half of the season we had the #1 scoring defense IIRC. I have no idea where we finished, but the terrible offense made the defense look bad at times.

We started the year and the offense was clicking, so we saw the defense was top 5. The end of the year, the offense was out of sync, and our defensive numbers showed it.

Plus there's the whole "his wife and father want him to sign in Nashville" thing.

Peyton disagrees with you.

IF Peyton is a Titan........Elway is dead. Titans have a great chance at Tebow i bet.

No offence to the OP of this thread, but topics like this being speculated about throughout the entire state is why he wouldn't come here. He can go to Denver, start fresh with a contender, and not have to worry about college recruiting or being asked to take over when Dooley loses his first game next year.

Yessir. Sarcasm. The thread is about an NFL QB helping a college team recruit because he played college ball here. Your foaming at the mouth at everyone who doesn't beleive he's coming back. He's only taking that meeting out of respect for the fans, just like the Dolphins. Chill out man.

Of course, you're right. Tennessee clearly has nothing to offer. They only the most explosive rb in the NFL, a top 5 wr, one of the most athletic TEs in the league, and an owner who's willing to do anything necessary to win one before he dies.

The only thing that will happen if Peyton is a Titan is that you will have to sell your first born son to get tickets. And maybe a Lombardi.
