Orgeron is about as proven as they come for the position he would have had at UT.

I want O to come to knoxville as bad as anyone but you have to wonder how much Carroll had to do with those Defenses at USC.

He also wasn't their coach either.
In that case, I don't want to see you or anyone else who all of a sudden thinks Orgeron didn't have anything to do with Mississippi's defensive linemen this season using the line about Les Miles using Nick Saban's players to achieve success at a school.

He had 3 years of recruiting classes and at the end still couldn't get them to where he wanted. He had some to do with it, but I also think that Nutt is a better coach.

I guess it is pretty hard to argue the guy isn't a great coach when you look at all the DLimeman who have played under him. But having great players helps and there isn't anyone better at getting great players than him.

I was never sold on his coaching abilities from the get go. Recruiting is O's game and now LSU has a monopoly in that state.

I love O's ability to identify dline talent. we have missed that for some time on the Hill.
