As big a fan of Orgeron as I am, John Blake would make me almost as happy.

I think we get O. But if for some reason he stays with the saints Look for Cregg to end up coaching the DL.

HV mentioned Blake. I would love to have him. I think alot of UNC's turn around is because of his work recruiting plus he is a former HC at OK. So the guy knows football. Just not sure if there would be any ties to kiffin or his dad. Seems like a long shot. But would be huge get.

If you're trying to show Blake is a quality coach, which he is, I would refrain from mentioning his tenure in charge at OU.

In charge at UT? Was he at Tennessee before? I have kind of keep up with him since his days as the head coach at Oklahoma. He is one of the best recruiters in the game and he was a head coach. You don't get there without being a pretty good "Coach".

I didn't see anything in his bio. Just the fact he was at OU, Dallas Cowboys, UNC

I meant OU. I like Blake. That said, he was one of the two or three worst head coaching hires in the history of college football.

Texans fire defensive coordinator Richard Smith — The Texans have fired defensive coordinator Richard Smith, defensive backs coach Jon Hoke and defensive line coach Jethro Franklin.

It has only been two days since the NFL season ended. I think O ends up here. There maybe a little back and forth about money. But in the end to much talk about this for it not to happen. Even the statments Kiffin made about staff when he was hired all lead to this. I think Monte and Coach O were commited before we even knew Lane Kiffin was named head coach in the press conference. Just let it play out.

Indications are now that O will not be coming.

Per the OP, why would Steele be a pipe dream? Offer him the DC job in-waiting, get him home, and let him go to work. I think he would come to UT over Clemson.

I have seen Rodney Garner's name mentioned several times. I would love to get him back in Knoxville, but I don't think he leaves UGA.

I'm tired of the drama and soap opera. Let's get coaches that want to be here. If Yaw Yaw Yaw doesn't want to come, then move on. We'll survive.

Who knows what to believe? Hubbs and Low wrong? It looks like Coach O really played everyone on this one.

That is if it is true. Which I hope it isn't.
