For the past decade plus of UT football, Harry Doyle would have been appropriate.

It's never easy to follow a legend and he was groomed to be the heir apparent since the get go with his time at JP sports. He was the most logical choice at the time and IMO he has done a good job. Strictly for the detractors, who would you have rather had at the time of replacing Ward? And who would you rather have now?

Anyone!! I’m sorry Bob does fine on Basketball but is just not good at calling football!!!

Question:
How many of the people complaining about Bob actually listen to him? I work most Saturdays and have to listen to him at my desk. He's not great by any stretch, but he's not as bad as people make him out to be either.

Mike Keith...he probably should've gotten the job ahead of 'Ol Bob anyway.

I have listened before, but its extremely rare anymore. Id rather follow on Gamecast.

The guy has one job....paint an accurate picture of the game for those listening. He fails

That requires:
Knowing the players names
Knowing the actual play
Announcing the time remaining
Knowing the difference between 2 yards and 9 yards.
I could go on...

Neil Price should get a shot. He is at Mississippi St., but was born and raised in East Tennessee. His blood still runs orange even though he has to listen to those horrible cowbells.
