If not Kesling, then who?

I prefer Mike over Bob personally. When Mike gets excited, loud, and I hear that emotion in his voice it gets me fired up. It is the main reason I prefer him. Everyone has different tastes and preferences though. IMO when Bob gets excited calling a play that is when he starts stammering, rushing, and mispronouncing player names more so. Which is somewhat understandable I guess. Bob does do a good job in basketball.

One thing I miss about John Ward was his ability to describe the atmosphere and provide details of a play as the play is happening better than anyone. Most announcers give the nuts and bolts of play then provide details after the play ends. Whereas JW could provide those details during his primary call of the play. He never seemed to rush either. Haha I remember sometimes on touchdown plays. Because he would take the time to provide those details players would already be celebrating in the end zone and JW would just be getting to his signature 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5. He was the absolute best ever and I miss the sound of his voice.

How about John Wilkerson who has called some UT men's basketball games in the past and does baseball for UT? I also wouldn't mind if Bertlekamp tried basketball or Priest did a UT football game and Kesling was the analyst.

Beth Mowins or Pam Ward. Both are real pros and would truly groundbreaking for college football (Team rather than network) and basketball.

It's
Not even close, he’s got a way better gig! NFL and TV
It's the Nashville Titans, for cryin' out loud. John Ward turned down other jobs including the NFL & said he had the "best job in sports." I recall that Mike Keith wasn't even given a chance at the UT job; it was Kesling's all along.

It's never easy to follow a legend and he was groomed to be the heir apparent since the get go with his time at JP sports. He was the most logical choice at the time and IMO he has done a good job. Strictly for the detractors, who would you have rather had at the time of replacing Ward? And who would you rather have now?

Well, I'm going for the gusto and say either Cris Collingsworth or Jim Nantz. with Tony Romo in a pinch.

Honestly, anyone that tells down and distance as often as it should be.
Someone that can actually get the player involved correct, often BK doesn't even say the correct team, much less play or player.

And please, someone with a tone that represents what just happened. We all use "what a turn off events" because it just represents BK perfectly. I want to feel like I'm at the game, not listening to a PBS special.

I get that Bob is nice and therefore likeable for some of you but he's terrible at game atmosphere.
He'd be fine to sit beside if you could SEE what was happening but as far as "describing", hell, I'm not even sure he's still talking about football half of the time.

Morgan Freeman ... it wouldn’t be very exciting but you wouldn’t be able to stop listening .

... plus everybody in the country would be listening to Tennessee football every Saturday .😊
