I know this Duke fan might be dreaming but why not Wojo to UT. Would be a perfect spot to get his feet wet in a major conference before Coach K retires. He's being talked about for Marquette and as big of a mess as they have right now I see the 2 jobs as equal. Bring on Wojo! #SlapsTheFloor

No thanks.... likely the press doesn't pick up on the shortening part and could you imagine poor Bob and the rest of Knoxville media trying to get that name down? Plus...it won't fit on the rock when its time for him to leave.

But honestly no. If were taking an unproven coach, just grab Petinos kid

Wouldn't say Pitino Jr is unproven, esp compared to Wojo. 2 years as HC and been good so far. Maybe not proven enough but he is on his way

Pastner gets 8 mil if Memphis fires him. 2.9 mil a year right now., 9th highest paid coach in America.
Memphis would fly him to Knoxville, pay for the hotel suites, and drive him to Hart's office in a Bentley to give UT a chance to hire him.

Man, that sounds like a Mike-Hamilton negotiated contract. I can't believe Memphis would give such a deal to an unproven coach.

That wasn't his initial contract. I believe he started around 1.3-1.5 or so. But he has been approached by a few schools. I believe USC came after him last year and offered $2 million or a little more. Memphis matched and raised.

That's what I was thinking as well most of the Memphis fans want him run out of town on a rail why would we want to ride all the way to East Tennessee? Between he and Travis Ford possibly two of the most overrated coaches in America!!! At least two of the most underachieving coaches ...put it that way.

You have to remember they were as desperate as any team I've ever seen when they hired him.... And if he does not take the job they are in serious serious trouble at that time..... Literally!!!
