If LSU is still number 1 when they come to town will college gameday come?

1) You must have hit the bong early if you think UT would be ranked after beating three scrubs and a 2-2 UGA squad.

2) No. There will be bigger games that weekend nationally. And they don't come to CBS games unless its really massive.

He's not hitting the bong. You should look objectively at things. Why was Penn State ranked against Bama? Did they deserve to be ranked? We kept it respectable and somewhat close against UF at the Swamp and will be 4-1. Additionally, the media will want two ranked teams playing each other if Tennessee is 4-1 when they play LSU, so I could see us cracking the top 25, around 24 or 25 IF and I repeat IF we bead UGA handily (over 10 points). Beating UGA is a big if at this point, they will have played a much harder schedule than us and have more to lose.

Seriously?

No. I prefer not think about any games after the Buffalo game.

I agree completely. We, as fans, cannot underestimate our opponents or belittle them by looking past them to future games. I got caught doing this during the Cincy game and bought the wrong kind of beer, let my pork butt smoke at too high a temperature, and put pineapple in the potato salad. Because of my over-confidence leading into the Florida cookout, my guests were treated to a losing effort.

I'm going to say 2 scrubs. Cincinnati could very well win the Big East.

Which makes Hunter's injury all the sadder for us.

If LSU is still undefeated and we beat UGA we will be 4-1 and probably ranked. So do you think GAME DAY would come?

Why would we be ranked?

We've not beaten any ranked teams this year and if/when we beat UGA they won't be ranked either.

In the land of the blind, the man with one eye is king. Just because you beat the best of a league full of scrubs doesn't mean that that team wasn't a scrub as well.

UT will not be ranked if we beat Georgia.

fyp.

I agree BTW. Folks are dreaming if they think we will be ranked until we actually beat several ranked teams.

As much as I hate to admit it, the past years of mediocrity have lost us the benefit of the doubt.

Classic.

I just had to inform my boss that I would not be able to let him know whether I was going to take off the Friday before the Georgia game until after the Buffalo game because I was afraid of getting caught overlooking a lesser opponent by the folks on VN.

I am not sure we wouldn't crack the top 25 at 4-1. Looking at the current polls, the AP would likely have to vote for several 2 loss teams over a 1 loss SEC team. We may not sneak into the 25th spot, but it would be real close.

This post proves that most UT fans are morons and the that we have a defeatist attitude.

FANS CAN OVERLOOK WHO EVER THE HELL THEY WANT TO.

If a fan wants to look at beating OU who is on our schedule in a few years they can. Fans overlooking teams HAS NO BEARING ON GAMES WHAT SO EVER.

College Gameday doesn't always go to games where both teams are ranked in the top 25. One of them always is, but not necessarily the other one.

Several? If we beat UGA and LSU, we're ranked no doubt. That's one ranked team that we'd have to beat.

Yep. If, by some crazy circumstance, we were to win against LSU, we would vault into the top 15, top 20 at worst.
